Big O is genuinely one of the great players atm, dominates in the ruck, does all the in and under stuff. Puts his body on the line constantly, throws himself at everything, runs nearly the full game out every time. Genuine gun atm
@kymcha3 ай бұрын
Yes, I have criticised the Big O a lot but it is clear I don't 100% understand the difficulties of rucking. The Lions would have asked him what he thought about returning to the game after the shoulder was put back - that took absolute courage. I also really admire Ryan Lester who was in / out of the side a few years ago and subject to unrelenting ridicule when he did play. One wouldn't dream of leaving him out of the side these days.

@@kymcha Big o had an issue with grabbing it out of the ruck and just slamming it on his boot. Now he goes in and under to handball it out to a neale, clug or ashcroft. His ruckcraft his second to none atm. Answerth is a tackling beast and surprisingly good inside mid when he needs to be and a great runner.

Nath's wrong with this one definitely. McCluggage hit his head on the ground and just chose to get up quick because it's a prelim final and just staying on down on ground would just let geelong set up. Can't possibly say he deserves a fine for that, that is pretty poor by Browny

Lets get one thing clear, McCluggage had no control over the tackle of where his head was gong to land when he was slung. That is a free kick every day of the week, no matter if he gets up quick or not. And if the tribunal is consistent it is a suspension but they wont because its a Victorian side that already lost and its Dangerfield, protected by the system and they already acknowledged if they won he would not be suspended before a Grand Final. 5:59 Chris Fagan's point about the Lions' preparation being more ideal than the Cats' is very good. Having a week off for all eight finals teams gives the winners of the qualifying finals two breaks in three weeks. Thats potentially too much rest and a subsequent slip in match hardness. By the way, I'm a Brisbane fan, so this isn't sour grapes. And don't get me wrong, I'm delighted we could take advantage of a loophole that helped us win. I just feel Geelong was unfortunate to have two soft wins and two breaks in a month. But then again, the Lions were 44 points down against GWS and won. Maybe it was just our year. Geelong won it only two years ago, so we were possibly more desperate.
