I live in New Orleans, and back in the 90s I was lucky enough to work as an extra on a couple of TV shows and a couple of movies. On one of the TV shows - Orleans, which starred Larry Hagman - I arrived at 7 AM, and they sent me home at 10 or 11 PM, I'm not sure which. The crew was there when I arrived at 7 AM, and they were still shooting when I left at 10 or 11 PM. I once asked one of the crew members when they sleep, and he said "On weekends."

Brad2Penske the more I see of interviews with Harmon, the more he seems like a cross between the worst parts of Harvey Weinstein, John Lovitz and Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons: huge ego, dictatorial attitude and happy to throw anyone under the bus to make sure he can claim victim status in any bad situation, despite instigating most of them. Chevy had a reputation for being difficult, but in later interviews, McHale and others start to stand up for him - the fact Harmon played personal voicemails from Chevy to 100 crew members and thought it would be funny to get them to chant “fuck you Chevy” says a lot.
@charlienaish4474 жыл бұрын
Chance Hooper yeah they are both douchebags but Chevy is definitely the worst of the two. Most of the actors that work with Dan have almost only good things to say. But almost everywhere Chevy goes he seems to make people angry.
@williameagle19994 жыл бұрын
@@charlienaish447 It seems like they're both big eccentric characters that want to be in charge, but because Harmon was in charge when the conflict arose Chevy was bound to seem like the bad guy. With the hours they were working (especially at Chevy's age) it was inevitable that he was going to get frustrated. Not that he seems like the perfect guy, just never really see people stick up for him at all. I reckon a similar dynamic would have played out if Chevy was Harmon's boss and it would have gone the other way.
@kevinw7124 жыл бұрын
If anything, it paints him that much more certainly as the asshole. After all, as Chevy often likes to remind his surroundings, he's been in show business the longest. He knows how long it takes to shoot something. And unlike as with him, the rest of the cast actually has genuinely always liked each other. He can't stand it if anyone else in the room is getting more attention and regarded as hilarious more than him.

I was trying to find the scene where Vicki (an incidental background character) suddenly screams “Vicki!!” and jumps out, charging into the line of fire dramatically. It was kinda funny when I saw it, but then when I thought about it later, it was so funny that it almost made a black hole inside my skull and crushed my brain into a singularity for two weeks randomly bursting into laughter because of it breaking my mind-computer. Like, she shouts, as a war cry, the only thing ‘you the viewer’ know about her as a background character; her first name. She doesn’t shout her FULL name, like the ‘Leroy Jenkins’ meme dude; she doesn’t shout a catch phrase or a call to arms; just... “Vicki!” It like she knows she’s a background character, and for lack of any other dialogue, she only has “Vicki!” and that’ll have to do cause it’s her big moment! Then the episode just kinda moves on after and no one comments on it. It just... breaks my brain how many layers of farcical, self aware, silliness is in this one tiny bit of writing.

The real show for nerds while people who didn't know nerds watched Big Bang Theory. Great things are almost never actually appreciated in their time.

I never met a single soul who watched The Big Bang Theory but I knew a couple of people who watched Community in spite of it just being a fraction of the Big Bang Theory's viewing numbers.

I don’t get why people compare this two shows all the time. TBBT was way more successful and community was just a better series. I like both shows and I appreciate both of them for doing what they do so well
@jennyrodriguez8113 жыл бұрын
@@nilsdula7693 I think it's because they both had the same broadcast schedule, so they were in direct competition, and since TBBT was aimed at older people and Community was mostly viewed online by young people, it eventually got cancelled due to poor ratings, so in a way it was ahead of its time, can't say the same about TBBT.

Pierce leaving the study group at the ending of this season was one of the best moments of the show.

I love the story circle behind Dan Harmon, haha. It truly is crucial to the entire process of plotting. Also, 8:20 reaffirming my adoration of Alison Brie.

The Russo Brothers and Dan Harmon had such a phenomenal run and you can tell a lot of it carried over to Rick and Morty. As a whole, it was phenomenal. Even the seasons prior to Troy leaving 😭 the love this show has gotten, i bet my middle testacle that either a movie ir 7th season is being mad just because of the slack on Rick and Morty and Avengers movies.

? Care to elaborate? If you bothered to actually keep up with him you’d be able to see he’s still as goofy and charming as he was during his Community days, it’s so tiring seeing people mention stuff like this on every video or article lol

Watch him on the darkest timeline podcast reunion they did. Literally was putting up pictures of kermits penis as his zoom background. He’s still a fun guy.

@@vr3142 I feel like respecting Donald Glover as a person also comes with understanding "his dark phase" if there was any. The fact that someone wanted the "old-version" of someone is immature and disrespectful.

what makes community so great is how we got brilliant actors and directors, with out the mind of Dan harmon or the visual sense of the russo brothers, this wouldnt be possible.
