Today I had a job interview. I was not prepared at all due to my college exams. And was not willing to give this interview. I had such a mental resistance to it that I had to make physical effort to arrive for that video call. Turns out, it was the best interview I ever gave. Dont know if I will be selected; but I really enjoyed it and it helped build my confidence.

rare are the things that are more inspiring than watching skaters fail and fail numerous times until they ultimately finally land their trick. that stuff makes you feel like anything is possible for you as well. Love the stuff as always Jake!

I'm not a skater, but I'm into skiing. I hit my first 360 this year and the feeling of hitting it was soo good! I am still scared to try more things, mainly because in the back of my head i think I'll hurt myself, which would mean not being able to work or ski until i can heal. Every time I failed the 360 though, it never hurt. I keep letting fear of getting hurt get in the way of progress. Thanks for the inspirational video to help me get over fear of failure.

I can say it with 100% confidence that JAKE FREW is the most underrated KZbinr. The amount of emotions that he triggers and his unique style of storytelling. That gets you to feel him, understand him, and like know him as your friend. I just love your channel Jake, you’re awesome. Keep it up friend!

Yes. I don’t think I realized this until pretty recently. A quote that was front and center on my mom’s refrigerator.. “change is inevitable, growth is optional.” Growth requires work, and as you pointed out so well, it usually involves failure. It’s how we learn, if we pay attention. Thanks Jake, for sharing your vulnerability… and your success.

One of the best videos I’ve ever seen. As a ninja warrior there’s a sign up at my gym that says “If you’re not falling, you’re not trying” And sometimes I get in my comfort zone and I just do what I know I can do. This inspires me to step out a bit-so thank you.

I just got home from biking across america and I felt this. Just getting the courage to believe I could was a journey but actually being out there. Trying and failing over and over again until you get a little bit stronger and you can go a little bit further is such a rewarding feeling. There was a day in Montana I kind of said fuck it and attempted to do a 100 mile day. I didn't get 100 miles but I did do 87 miles and when it hits you that you did something far outside of your self belief, the desire to try again is palpultating. I will propably fail again but eventually I will succeed and go beyond. You really do have to try. I'll be biking around the world and I am excited to see what lessons I learn. You can't grow if you don't fail.

Jake, you have the unique ability to create a video just when I need it. I have been putting off my starting my "Over the Bars with BostonDon" project. I beat myself up about it on a near daily basis. I want it, I know it will be fun, but I fear that it won't be good enough. So this week I have been putting energy towards making it happen. Fear is certainly a roadblock for a lot of people, but as you or your friend said in the video, think of how you will feel once you do it. You exemplified it when you did your trick. It is relief and accomplishment, but more importantly the smile that you showed us all. That is what I want for myself. Smiles for everyone. So what if my videos aren't exactly "professional" looking or sounding, what really matters is the story that is being told. Thank you for being you. I hope you have an awesome Christmas and New Years Eve. I will hit you up in the New Year. Let's all "Keep Smiling"!

We all fail at something. It doesn't matter how many times you've attempted at pursuing something so as long you continue to improve on what you're doing. More importantly, if your previous strategies didn't help you achieve your goals, change it up and try again. Sometimes I think we put too much emphasis on a desired outcome that we get lost in the learning process.
