Well said Dav! After my divorce I was lacking direction went back to school got my B.S. and got back into herpetology and then found his channel. I then knew the direction to head back to my love of snakes. I believe he garnered way to much hate in this industry some from misunderstandings but a lot from pure jealousy. When I heard of his diagnoses I knew what the end result was going to be but deep in my heart I also believed if anybody had a chance at beating it Brian would be the one. He said himself when my pain ends every one else's begins boy hit the nail on the head!!!! RIP BB

I am one of the many lives he saved 4 years ago with his anxiety video. I dreamed of growing up and working at senora desert museum. But life happened. I'm nearly 50 now and 1 thing Brian taught me was to never give up. I still watch and study every day and I still have hope that some day I will have my own little collection. You are a gift to us too. Some of us rattle on just to see the adventures you share and bask in your passion and love. Thank you ❤ And I promise to continue to take every opportunity to teach love and respect for our no legged friends.
@123Zara9 ай бұрын
The Senorian Desert is vast with so many species that I believe haven't been recorded yet. I once visited a place called Slab City in the Senorian Desert, and it's an interesting place, the desert iguanas that are white! Also, there are many sub species in that neck of the woods that are white also, I'm suspecting because temperatures reach highs of up to 130 degrees on these days, and those desert iguanas do not hide from that intense heat, they're running around in it! The temperature gradient is crazy, because in the winter it can be down into the high 50s and low 60s (for a short time) and up to 130 degrees in the summer, so the white adaptation that a lot of reptiles in that area have is really interesting. There is also a type of gecko out there, and toads. They have a white Gardner Snake out there, scorpions, vinegaroons, Desert Recluse Spiders, as well as a white snake I cannot identify that had sort of a leaf shaped head and nose, and the rattle snakes! They aren't any special color, but that place is chucked with western diamond back and sidewinders both of which I rescued on a regular basis. The vast array of wildlife there was astounding , and you would never see it all unless you stay there for about 9 months, it took that long for me to encounter all of that. Anyhow, you take care, I hope your dreams and wishes come true!

@@123Zara I grew up herping in central arizona. My favorite catch was the collared (ring neck) lizard. I was about 10 when I finally caught one. They are fast and will run on their back legs. Now they are sold as pets. There are so many types of eco systems besides desert there. I think some one could spend a lifetime there and not see them all. My bucket list critter is the Gila monster of course. The museum didn't even have one when i was a kid. Slab city is on my to do list, I'm also a rock hounder so I'm sure I'll see lots of scorpions too. Thank you for the kind words and insight. I had no clue about the iguanas. Always and forever something to learn. The meaning of life 🙂
