Hey Mr. Blair, just wanna let you know I am in the middle of a 6309 tear down and re-assembly and this video has been absolutely instrumental in the process. So very helpful. Thank you again.

Hi, great video on one of my favorite watches and timely as I begin some restoration. One question-where did you find the chronograph/dial holder? Does it have a specific name or brand as I have searched all over to find one to no avail. Thanks!

I was hoping to see you replace the click ball. I would like to replace mine but it is stuck. Any suggestions? I’m having an issue with a bezel that is extremely tight. Gasket is new and perhaps the diameter is too large. I really don’t think it has anything to do with the click ball, but I can’t get it out. I’m working in a 6309-7290. I have two where the bezels no longer rotate. For those who want to learn how to do a full service on the movement, I suggestion watching My Retro Watches on KZbin. That’s how I learned. I’ve got 6309s that are running as well as my Omega, at least in the dial up position. You can do it! I just need to figure out how to get a simple bezel to rotate easily. Frustrating!

Does the crystal just pop out like that without using a press? How does it seat securely when reinstalled into the case?

There is a rubber gasket that holds the crystal and a bezel that needs to be removed and then reinstalled using a crystal press.
