I want to believe. I want to believe that Poochy and Jorge are the ones playing the music together here- letting Jolteon and Crap Gorps take the spotlight with their singing. That Tannenbaum is a whirlwind of motion, rewriting lyrics to suit their adventure and them- while Gacha is making sure that everything is above board with this performance, tying loops with copyright laws to make them free to perform. I want to believe that Exit has found a true family through this adventure- even if he hasn't had much to say, the kid's been here through thick and thin, doling out food and medicine as it's needed. He deserves somewhere where he's welcomed, not told to leave- and I believe Stage Right will always make room for their friend. I want to believe that Terrorism LLC was a good family for Jolteon, growing up. Symphony might be undead and thirsty, and Trefore might be a bit airheaded- and Weh may not want anything to do with them- but I think they'd come through, helping Umbreon and Espeon look out for the kid. And, y'know, helping him with his growing powers. I want to believe that their presence helped. That because Umbreon and Espeon showed unconditional love, Jolteon was able to show that love to everybody else- to help them out, too. So that Jorge could find the strength to stand for himself- and let his true colors shine, to let his heart be known. So that Poochy could live to accept- and maybe even be happy with- her mutations, and find that the world loved her too. So that Gacha could find a way to balance on the edge of the knife- to always remember that she was not beholden to the shareholder, and that she always, ALWAYS had a conscience. So that Tannenbaum could find his way back to the spotlight- and know that the world's love is nothing compared to the love of your friends. So that Crap Gorps could prove the leagues wrong, and show that he was stronger than anything life threw at him- from evasion strats, to the point-blank ice of Articuno. I want to believe that this comment helped you, too. That even if I've only met you in passing- even in this brief moment- this comment lightened up your day. Gave you something to dream about. I want to believe that this meeting between us, brief as it is, has changed us for the better. I hope you have a good day. I believe in you.

@@Foxpawed that's because starting a story with offhanded jokes featuring extremes of stuff usually gets built upon by the other members who try to justify why that extreme example of whatever is actually a real thing and then the lore just practically builds itself from there.

Something i love about this and i think its unintentional but its so good. At the end of this animation Jolteon hugs gorps. At the start of dogs in love two its was said that Jolteon basically killed everyone he hugged due to his spikes. THANKS TO GORBS HE LEARNED HOW TO HUG!!!

I love how they were so against using a ladyba in colosseum and then crap gorps became such an icon and main character that he stuck around for ALL of Pokémon XD and even finished the final boss himself

I would like to mention that in the first dogs in Love video they could have used a ledyba, But they decided not to because of how weak it was, but then we get crap gorps, Who did the final battle all on his own ! Which is just pure irony and it's beautiful!

Now now, don't say that.... There's plenty of games their group can riff off of. It worked with Skies of Arcadia (in my opinion) it worked here, I think it could work again. It just takes the right creative liberties and freedoms to make a game work. Nuzlockes are a popular choice, as an example.

Honestly the original videos and full streams add so much to these characters that they feel so real, the ups and downs, the flaws and friends all fit so much that songs like these, the ones from plays about friends and change fit so amazingly well with the context you have found that it honestly creates a sort of paining joy that you both know the story is over but it ended so happily

I love that the characters still come out of the singing voice, despite both being the same person. The only part I would adjust is literally the three words 'blame me for', as anger like that isn't Jolteon's 'eldritch beast' voice, but you still know that's what it's being, and the rest of it is perfect as you can tell which line is which even with your eyes closed.

The fact that this animatic still gave me such a feeling in my chest like the original song did-but for a shitposty story about based on a pokemon spinnoff game-is a testament to the music in Wicked, the surprisingly genuine and emotional story they managed to weave out of that shitpost, the wholehearted effort of this cover, and your charming art accompanying. I found this quickly after Dogs in Love 3, now I can't help but play it anytime I finish the original. It just feels so much like it needs to be used a true ending for the series. Imagine, at the point where Jolteon and Gorps start dancing together following Justy's demise, fade to black. Just long enough to make people wonder if that's it... "Hey man." Fade back in to this, with the credits in the empty spaces throughout. Then, with Jolteon's last "I love you, man.", play out with the end cards of the original. That would be the most beautiful end I can imagine for this series, and you captured so much of it.

Jello has an incredible voice! It's so hard to sing in key while maintaining a character voice, and both sound so distinct from one another. This was such a beautiful send-off to this amazing series

The moment he started singing, I knew the song was from the broadway musical from 20 years ago "Wicked". And funny thing considering it's in my recommended videos as well. This song was one of our choir songs in 2014. The moment I heard the opening, I knew right away it was the song from Wicked....Man, I have completely forgotten about this tune for a decade now, and hearing it once more made me re-live the song that we sang in choir 10 years ago.
