The name of the track is "For Her", it's a single from my debut album No Flag. It's called No Flag because it argues the need for us to fight for a united world, by devoting ourselves to humanity before our countries or our gods. It talks about the mindset that must exist before we raise flags of any kind.
"For Her" was inspired by the brutal rape of Nirbhaya, as much as it was by how little things changed in response to the collective expression of outrage that followed.
This song is full of rage, but it is rage that I hope we can thoughtfully harness in the pursuit of a world that is governed by compassion, rather than a need for power, domination and the fear of something or someone different.
Let's always use our words first and our hands if we must to defend people who need our support, to show the aggressor that there is no justification for a descent into a predominantly primal state of mind, given their gift of human intelligence.
With #metoo, over the last few days we have shown that we're not afraid to speak out, we've highlighted the magnitude of the problem, and in doing so we've created a platform for us to stand united. This is a chance to fight back on a global scale and reshape the world we live in.
Let's take it.

The world's a bad place, so I'm using rap music to build an army for change. The internet generation has the ability to mobilize on a global scale. Share this message, follow the page, and when we're strong enough, we can begin the war to end all wars: The war for a united world. This is the weaponization of compassion. Live on all major platforms. iTunes: itunes.apple.com/in/album/no-flag/1417186897 Spotify: open.spotify.com/album/2YHtdM29epkgRyo8IHgJCj Google play: play.google.com/store/music/album/Raoul_Kerr_No_Flag?id=B2w3ersx2mz6i5mdebwcl7zzkgu

Wow..! Just Wow, I am absolutely amazed by words and video. In the name of all women in the world, thank you! Although, sadly, a significant number of women would find a justification for rape and other forms of abusement and harassment. Such a powerful message and yet, so disappointingly little views. And, yes, I am going to spread the word :) All the music you make has so intelligent and clear message in beautifully written lyrics. Thank you and keep making more music; I especially liked your collaboration with Bloodywood, which is what brought me here :D

WOW. Like so many others, I'm here by way of your work with Bloodywood. This was as powerful and bold as I knew it would be, but also even more artistically beautiful than I had dreamed. The choice to center the women delivering the lyrics was brilliant. The filming was brilliant. The women on screen (the authenticity is too clear for them to be called actresses or performers) were brilliant. The vibe was perfect. And oh man, "this is just one of many possible explanations, but there is not a single fking justification" WOW what a PERFECT lyric. This is nuance that's desperately needed in discourse, so we can talk about explanations -- and thus address them on a societal level -- without being mistaken for justifying. I love everything about this. Thank you so much for your incredible work.

Hey Raoul, your voice with Bloodywood's music sounds so dope. I really hope you'll be a permanent rap voice for their music. And, of course, your own songs are dope too. And your message in this song is so good, my fiance was a rape victim in her previous relationship, her boyfriend raped her while he was high on cocaine or something.. But it was still her fault according to the authorities.. it's always the woman's fault if she gets raped, according to authorities. This song needs to go global, man. Respect from Sweden!

Εxcellent song, powerful lyrics and daring deliverance on a difficult topic Raoul, I only discovered you recently through Bloodywood and you are an inspiration! Please continue with full power. We need this kind of positive political/activist attitude in music so much. I love how you chose women to do the talking in the video and how you took down the justifications of rape culture. I would only perhaps make an slight objection concerning one lyric: it is usually women which are carriers of the liberal and men of the conservative attitude in my understanding. We, men having created patriarchical ideology are usually trying to make things "stay as they are"... Of course, it is very possible that having a different cultural background (I am Greek) I did not understand your reference correctly. Love from Greece! -Chris

Your lyrical skills are amazing and I hate all of the people who made you be able to write this song. In a proper society, it should have been impossible. I feel sincere hope for those who you wrote this song for. Amazing choices for the videographer as well. Great direction. Thanks for the work you're doing with Bloodywood, as I think the band will earn a worldwide stage and will try to help many good causes

I applaud the sentiment, but really, in areas of the world where feminine life is worth nothing in comparison to masculine life I can't see fighting, injuring, humiliating, killing your attacker turning out well in the end for a woman. More likely a prison sentence or worse. The system has to change.
@Ravenlord47111

how do you change a system? by fighting. If everyone you attack has a very good chance of of killing you are you going to attack them?

Unfortunately its an excruciatingly slow process, as we've witnessed. I totally agree with you that every woman should have the means to defend herself, its just a fucked up fact that in a lot of cases she might escape with her "honour" but not her freedom or life. Most societies don't want women to be able to defend themselves. I don't know if you've heard of the hatpin peril, where just after the turn of the century women would use their hatpins to defend themselves. The result was authorities regulating and trying to ban hatpins! I dunno, I guess if you look at certain US states where you can shoot and kill an attacker legitimately then defending yourself seems great, but in the context of places where the rapist is usually excused while the rapee is considered so vile and worthless they should be condemned to death by long, draw-out violent means then individual cases of self-defense must seem more undesirable. It's fucked up and I would encourage everyone to learn to defend against the scum of the earth. I despair of any society that judges a persons right to life without suffering based on biological features. Rapists should be fed their own genitals

Here in the US, this topic is coming up again because of the Sexual assault scandal of a conservative Supreme court judge pick. Sexual assault that he committed 35 years ago at age 17. The uptick in victim blaming and accusations of "politicizing" the issue really make me want to beat some sense into people. Listening to this song helped me to vent out my frustrations.
