Its not him persay, but the community as a whole cause we test a lot of stuff out in game. Also, the devs may not have intended for these mechanics. Its probably a glitch and will get patched or at least looked at.

You can also do External Crushing counterstrike. I have done it, totally -by accident- by pure skill, but it is extremely hard to do. And it can also be made by teammates attack PD: You cannot deflect Pikemen attacks? Once again, Pikemen are proved to be the most powerful soldiers in the game

Metrack externally crushing counter strike off of teammates and other enemy’s you are not locked on too makes the attack parryable so I wouldn’t suggest doing it for highlander, valk is the safest as the crushing counter comes out lightning quick and has pretty decent range, wardens can also be used but to the trained eye also can be easily parryable, and Shaolins requires that much setup, that I think you would be better off supporting your team in other ways

Metrack you can Crushing Counter off the minions and it hits the person you have targeted

Metrack you can’t even dodge pikemen attacks. Although you should be able to parry them the same way you parry a conqueror’s full block counter

StormShadow7783 I believe the crushing counter from minions was removed, you still get superior block effects, but the attack is not unblockable.

Doesn't make any sense, why should deflecting your own teammate allow you to get free damage on an opponent? I say it ought to be patched imo

But dude, what is the point of removing it? I would say that team deflects are just another away of teammates helping you. If you coordinate if them, you can set up multiple deflects. Teamwork at its best

But those can be parried, if you just parried an attack you will automatically parry the crushing counter, happened to me at least twice.

I actually figured this out on my own with my friends while we were messing around. You can crushing counter teammates and hit the enemy

Niko since many people can parry warden's top light on reaction and highlander's light, it might not be really useful on many characters.

It is probably the game's weak grip on stairs but I managed to teleport behind my main target with a shinobi external deflect who was standing on the top of the stairs at zone C on Overwatch while I was at the low end of the stairs.

The most usefull situation is shugo heavy into zerker deflect into daemon embrace for sure.

I absolutely hate team deflects. I get unbelievably tilted when I get hit by one since I’m getting punished for no reason. To get rid of team deflects they’d probably have to remove the ability to hit teammates so I don’t see that happening

Have the fixed external deflects been fixed? They use to select the target the deflect hit randomly. Also orochis light deflect has no range because he use to be able to teleport. Did you try his heavy deflect soft feint to light?

we couldn't get it to work. superior block works different than deflects. you have to dodge away and not into the indicator. I can make another video if people are interested.

BTW, you didn't mention it, but backdodge deflects are a thing. (external obviously) And it doesn't seem the side, from which the attack is coming, matters, since I witnessed both side and top attacks deflected with backdodge.

One of the most satisfying things is while playing shinobi, when you are ganked by 2-3 people, you want to run away, you deflect an attack and spawn behind the enemies so BYE BITCH

I have a couple questions about deflects, but I can't find answers anywhere. Can you deflect unlockables? And also for zerker, when I do a forward deflect my guard goes top and I don't get the confirmed heavy. Is there enough time to change my guard from a deflect gb?

you can not deflect unblockables, you either parry or dodge them, deflecting an attack is blocking it in a way, and these attacks have it in their name "unblockable", and with zerk you always have time to change guard after gb

@@skeptic1659 thanks, and I remembered my other question. Is it possible to crushing counter them? According to Nux's traps they count as a party attempt, but I haven't seen them be able to "parry" unblockables

@@grantspengler1553 no you can't crushing counter unblockables either, because the property is called superior block, and you can't block these attacks, and yes nuxia's traps catch different types of defensive tools, just because it catches superior blocks and parries alike doesn't mean they both share other properties

Is the team deflect not considered a bug? I mean, it can be exploited given that most deflects cant be avoided. Also, and this is common sense, it defeats the purpose on why it exists in the first place: someone attacks, you evade it at the same time that you place yourself in a critical place and because that someone is still attacking he is unable to defend himself. So feels weird as fuck.

Since idiotic teammates stagger you on hit, you can parry, block and deflect their attacks.

@@teinmeizeshi5209 Im not saying that you shouldnt deflect teammates attacks, what Im saying is that you shouldnt be able to attack from that deflect against an opponent, or at least not with one that has the same properties of a normal deflect attack. It penalizes the opponent when he hasnt done anything wrong.

Are you implying that Setmyx and so on don't actually know about all of this already? The issue is that it's fairly impractical, and because everybody is in the know, they specifically are going to be aware that it might happen. This barely affects competitive games at all, Barak is probably the only person who would intentionally go for it, and even then it's not something he does very often, having been in games where it was attempted myself I can tell you it's not a particularly huge impact. Though it is, like most impractical things, pretty cool.

The only thing she's bad at is 1v1, which is a bad gamemode anyway so who cares.
