I forgot to mention that the Choke into ZA is obviously the better heavy parry punish, but I think it kinda goes without saying.

Freeze, you should also point out that you can actually HOLD guardbreak after the parry to make the choke longer, drain more stamina and send the enemy further. Idk if you knew that, but its pretty useful :)

Magnus Nordeide Brede they do reduced damage and massively feed revenge but it’s good for opponents with low health. You can also hold it on people already in revenge to take away 80% of their revenge off a single parry (and it’s easier to parry people in revenge cause they tend to be less careful

Hey freeze from my testing the on the OOS choke punish the light whiffing isnt about being buffered or not, if you're holding forward it will whiff while if you're not moving it won't. cheers

Just go for a heavy after the choke wall splat, it is guaranteed everytime no matter the distance, but the attack must be coming from the top

On an oos punish, can't you throw the opponent behind you for a guaranteed heavy into unblockable finisher? This is the punish i do all the time and have only had it fail once or twice.

After that parry + choke OOS punish i usually do zone + top heavy. 73 dmg but for some reason it doesn't work on orochi and pk... maybe it's the hitbox

after 100ms guard switch you can get a guaranteed full damage light after the choke. switch youre guard then light it cant be bloked if done correctly

Freeze I tested it w/my friend about a week back And JJ’s choke lets you get a delayed zone into the top unblockable like the OOS. It may have been changed haven’t tested again I just know it was possible.

There's an error. You said that the most powerful punish after an oos parry it's Choke + light + top unblockable or zone + top unblockable if the opponent are already oos, but it's wrong. You have Choke (5 dmg) + zone (28 dmg) + top unblockable (45 dmg) in this two case, for a total of 78 dmg. And if you are in 4v4, this is much better than every punish, because if you use Deadly as first feat, you can activate this feat with the choke, so the total dmg is Choke (5 dmg) + zone (33 dmg) + top unblockable (53 dmg) for a total of 91 dmg.

@@nerp1120 Well, at least both characters have no real openers, so there's no way to catch someone with the gb (or even the parry) when he's oos; but Cent has higher punishes in 4v4, thansk to his feat he can do 105 dmg near a wall or even 120 dmg with and oos max punish...in 1v1 Cent has higher punishes as well (with the wallspalt), but the problem remains: you can take this punishes only if you are stupid.

I just did the math. The multiplier dmg for revenge is 131%(it's the one I worked out but the value might not be correct) If you revenge and push your opponent forward given that a wall is behind them, you can get a top into unblockable finisher for 107 dmg. If you equip the ability that gives you dmg from time to time, it can get up to 110 dmg. You know what that means? If you get guardbroken as Shinobi by this guy and a wall is behind you, you are pretty much SOH(shit outta luck)

His recovery is broken, his grab after a parry can hold the opponent in place for the rest of his team to bash, and he regains wasted stamina rather quick... Yeah, balanced.

Yeah, the grab holds you for the team to hit you, but the person getting choked gets a massive damage reduction. I'm not sure how revenge gain works when it comes to reduced damage attacks, but if you gain revenge at the same rate as you normally would then hitting someone when they're getting choked wouldn't be advantageous.

As for the stamina thing, thats kinda the point. His attacks use an obscene amount of stamina, and sifu is super vulnerable with its guard-breakable-ness. Also, his recovery is like the same for every other character, dunno what you're talking about there

Hes a beast in 4v4, but in duel, you kidna have to hope that your opponent sucks at blocking 500ms lights. literally every mixup he has has a fixed dodge window where you can immune everything. kick/heavy/gb can all be countered on 1 timing, unblockable/gb has the same thing.

I am done. Instead of giving super complex heroes, aside from maybe Shaolin, they gave us two heroes that can win by just pressing RB, one heavy that is better and faster than some assassin Hybrids. I never once went on the overpowered bandwagon, and nor will I now, but the Wu Lin definitely sucked out all the fun out of the game for me. I genuinely dislike playing with them, and absolutely hate fighting against them, especially JJ.

Trevor Mayberry unless I’m remembering incorrectly, I’m pretty sure that’s only on his lights. His side heavies on the other hand, share some properties with zone attacks in that they don’t recoil from superior block. That lets him dodge crushing counters and and full block counters by using sifu to cancel recovery

The Wu Lin arent the only reason, more like an additional reason but I pretty much quit the game because of the absolute snail pace the devs balance heroes. It takes them almost 2 years to fix Shugoki, 1,5 years to TALK about giving Cent a feintable unblockable. Since the start of MF everyone seems to talk about the broken animations of JJ and now the season is almost over and coming Thursday they finally fix those animations. That should be like top notch priority if you try to run a fighting game. Not to mention no one cares about their upcoming stamina and feint changes, people care about immediate balance changes. Not something we can expect somewhere in 2019.
