BP can flip toestabs after lights consistently. Input is on reaction to toestab after normal light. Works in the entire light chain if there is a toestab.

The toestab with the Haymaker feat equipped also makes it so that you deal 10 damage to a Black Prior when he Bulwark Counters you. This is most likely a bug, as we've also seen with the stun effect still appearing when Bulwark Countering a Stunning Tap.

For anyone watching this after CCU, Haymaker now only adds 5 damage to every bash and throw. So the new toestab (now default 9 damage) only does 14 damage with Haymaker. CCU threw gladiator so much out of wack that I really hope we can get an updated video sometime, Freeze. :)

3:58 according to my observations, you can make a delay before the throw so that the damage from bleeding goes in triples. But i cant every time catch the timing, i try watch shoulder animation and in most cases its not confirmed

Something to remember about the skewer oos punish, the timing for it is pretty tight. it can be parried if delayed a little too long, ive seen training bots parry it as they get up

Am I doing something wrong with the throw punish or did something change? Whenever I hit the first light they stand up immediately and I can't get a heavy in, let alone a second light. This happens on throws in all directions. The actual punish only seems to work on throws from a Skewer for me. Never mind, just figured it out. You can't change guard on the first light.

with most assassins, if you get hit with the punch part of the zone, then the follow up heavy can be easily deflected as long as the glad doesn't feint

Idk if they changed his zone or anything but I could have sworn that one time a few months ago I was playing Conq and a Glad zoned on me and I early dodged to the right and could parry the zone. I’ve been dodging to the right this whole time to let block on dodge cover the follow up strike. I’ll try left dodging now that you say so!

I'd love to see an updated video of what kind of ganks Glad can set up. I recall a video about some fun ganks back in season 1 or so but it'd be great to get an updated one. Of particular interest, I play goki/hito and have been looking at interactions with glad. The big thing we discovered is I can't get DE off toe stab as the shugoki will bounce off even after the enemy is reeling backward post stab. Awesome vid here, and love all your work and dedication to both improving players and improving the game!

Glad gank is fairly simple. Toe stab gives you a heavy, just know you have 2 heavies coming at the opponent and you want the highest damaging one to hit first as the second will have damage reduction. Really the only other thing glad does for a gank other than toe stab is zone, which confirms your heavy as well as the followup. In this case you ALWAYS want to hit first, as no heavy in the game is < 20 damage. This is tough if your heavy doesn't have HA. I'd honestly say thats why there isn't a glad gank tips video, because I basically just summarized it in 3 sentences.

It’s super easy to deflect undogable since even if you missed the deflect timing, the attack will have a high chance of hitting you during your doge, use that to get easy deflect🙂

Just don't do it too soon but also be careful. BP or Shaolin may be expecting a dodge if you're an assassin and feint into guardbreak or wait to parry. Edit: Spelling mistake.

Sam Bellware Except it has insane recovery. If you even delayed a fast dodge attack slightly, the Lawbringer can block it. Don’t bother trying with the slower dodge attacks like Kensei and Shaolin. The most consistent way to punish is dodge bashes like Warden. It’s not an easy move to punish.

Lmao. dont get me started on Stamina and being OOS. Tying ur offense to a System which when fully depleted leaves u wide open to said 116 dmg punishes is just stupid game Design Imo. Take street fighter as an example. every attack causes a fixed ammount of stun dmg. If u get hit Multiple Times without Getting Room to breath by defending yourself u get Dizzy and are open for a stun Punish (pretty much same as OOS punish). Now if we compare that to For honor u have stamina. Attacking Costs Me A Ressource that litteraly almost triples in cost If blocked or Wiffed. On top of that if i fully empty that Ressource I can nearly get one shot depending on Matchups. So if comboing and continous aggression is rewarded with me shooting myself in the litteral fuckin knee, Do u Think i will ever throw out anything at all ? Street fighters System rewards and encourages Aggression. U could say that For Honors System rewards good ressource Management but then u lack an abyssmal amount of offense. Turtling and defense is just way too rewarding and less risky than actual Aggression. And Part of that Problem is too High damage out of Neutral and a Ressource System that just does not belong into a fighting game IMO.

I’ve been playing Gladiator for 17 reps and Honestly I’m sick of using him it’s just so dull and boring spamming skewer mixups to force a dodge and GB/toe stab someone into another mixup or trying to fish for deflects all day, it sickens me to the core but for some reason I just can’t bring myself to grind a character up to where my Glad is because I just net so much better results due to my knowledge of the character.

MSTRPRFKT well almost all hero in this game a single mimick or none you have to use and combine with usual moves to get a mix up, once you have mastered it, then you almost mastered the hero himself. Don’t move to another hero to expect something totally different from glad. Warden is all about it’s shoulder bash for exemple and all his mixup resolve auround a variation of his bash. Hikitori is all about is hyperarmor and you just have to know when you should throw a heavy or light to trade and then the rest of the mixup is one sided, you don’t have interaction with the other player. Strange you said that because i’m rep 12 gladiator and the find i love about him is that he is one of the game with the most tool to work with (like shinobi pre-nerf) and i feel like even with dozen of hours playing him i still discovered new mixups and combo from his kit

Something i'd change about glad : Toe stab hit stun. It's way too long and fighting two gladiators is awful. They can just chain toe stab you once you dodged one and you get nearly no revenge. Counting the fact that haymaker activates with toe stab, which now does 20dmg for a bash with an instantaneous punish who stuns enough for anyone to get a heavy. No move that can be confirmed that easily with just two people who don't know each other and then chained to 100-0 anyone just exist, even without haymaker.
