I miss these days. The old times when nobody knew what they were doing and nobody was really toxic. It was so much more fun back then as compared to now. This was and still is the best menu theme and should be brought back. I love the game but season one was just so new and enthralling. The game had a certain novelty that, to me, has been lost. I took season one and all it had with it for granted. I really do miss it now that it's been so long. The game has evolved so much since then, and yes, mostly for the better but season one was still just so... "new". This theme may be the best theme I've ever heard for any game I've played. Rest in peace season one, you are and will be missed.

I remember when I first started playing for honor. It was that fire Inferno event. I know that was already pretty late but back then, it was at least new to me. I remember my first game in dominion on that map where the attackers are coming by ship. And the defenders are behind that HUGE gate. I was so faszinated

God, this theme brings me back to when this game was a good ol’ medieval fighting game, with a melancholic feeling that can’t be found today when it was just the knights, Vikings, and samurai. The novelty of how original this game was wore off as soon as the goofy cosmetics and bizarre executions were added in. I will love the game, but I’ll constantly yearn for that unique feeling for honor and when it was young. I hope for a For Honor Two that will go back to its roots and become the best of what it could’ve been.

@@MinnySteppa was a different game....a nex experience where you enter to menu and was motivate to level up, change armor, play with friends...every was gratifyng...now is other game..only have old players with max level that play in team ganker, the hability is losing with player that only spam attacks with op heroes, the new content of ubisoft is the same all the months...i think that the motivation es very different with the season 1...is my opinion...the connexion was really bad is true

This theme gives me such a bittersweet feeling. I love it but at the same time it hurts me because I miss those days so much. Life was so much simpler in 2017. It felt so much better. I was so much happier. I'm happy now yes but there's so many responsibilities. So many stresses. In 2017 I didn't have those stresses. It was calm. When I first played the beta and heard this soundtrack it ingrained itself into my heart, my mind and my soul. I'll never give up on this game. I'm loyal to it through thick and thin. It's such an important game to me and I'll always respect it and the people who made it. When it passes away my heart will break, but for now I'm happy just to remember it.

Update: We got our asses kicked, and couldn't play the game anymore. I remember in the early days when revenge was a massive play, and no one could kill you. I played though every update, every new character, with a 70% win-rate on most heros I played, and yet I can barely parry a light attack anymore. Read more if you want to hear about my experience of this game. Me and a mate of mine played through the campaign on the max difficulty the moment we got the game. We played multiplayer year after year. I even played so much that I forgot about how dire my A-levels were getting, and yet, this game was just too good. It's truly such a shame that me and my friends have dropped beyond what is necessary to compete in this game. I have so many fond memories. I could have saved so many videos clips of my time messing around, abusing raiders top-flight stun, or pissing about with Centurion in release, but for some reason my cave-man brain deleted them. Now all I have is this one music track to remind me of all the good times I had playing this one hell of a unique game So long, For Honour. You were truly amazing, but I do truly suck now. Goodbye.

My older brother bought this game when it first came out, his mains were Lawbringer and Conquerer. I watched him play and rep up every night for months, even years, in his small room; eventually, I bought the game for myself. That was 2017, and in 2022 he passed due to a motorcycle accident. I’m crying now typing this, but I have him to thank for all these incredible memories I made with this game.

Pov: You woke up, It was all a dream, Its still 2017 and you hop on for honor to play. The game just released so you arent used to the controls, you get angry when you get light spammed and shoved off cliffs and just when your about to win you get an error and are sent back to the main menu, you're furious, however, something in the backround calms you down. A somber tune followed by an angelic coire. Suddenly you realize an honorable warrior wouldnt get angry at the games he struggled with, he would take them as lessons to improve. You queue up for the next game full of determination and honor.

(Takes place during For Honors final breaths of life) When you've unlocked and rep'd every hero, beaten the campaign on the hardest difficulty with all collectibles unlocked, can play any game mode without the hud with any hero and win, and have your honor intact. You walk alone through a battle field surrounded by the corpses of Knights, Samurais, and Vikings of all kinds, you decide to reflect on your time here. You've been cheesed, ganked, and disrespected. But you have also been given an honorable 1v1, respect, and goofy emote spams. Sure there have been the occasional low points, but that doesn't compare to the times you had in this battle field with your comrades. You look up to see the opposing vanguards to your faction. You all stand in a circle facing each other, not sure what else to do. Then this song starts to play, and you realize that the three of you are the last real players in the multiplayer, when you close out For Honor you close your access to the multiplayer, and everyone but you three have already left. You all decide that if it has to end, you end it in a good friendly fight. You ready your weapons and begin to circle each other slowly, planning your moves and prepping for the others to attack. The last fight will end the way it began, with war... And Honor...

I started playing For Honor around a third into season 9. I never “grew up” with this song, I have no nostalgia for it. Yet when I listen to it, I think of I first started playing, where I knew barely anything, I considered centurion over-powered, and everything seemed magical. I think current For Honor (at the time of writing this) has definitely changed for the better since when I started playing. I definitely prefer how For Honor is now back then. But I would love to return to that time when everything seemed new and magical, even if the game was out for nearly two years at that point. So despite never hearing this song in game, and only first listening to it recently, it helps me remember when everything was simpler.

I think for honor should close up in Season 20 and revert the music in the menu to this classic nostalgia theme Season 20: Legacy “Old warriors such as The Lord Warden, The Emperor’s Champion, The legendary Raider, Holden Cross, Apollyon, Astrea, And many other legendary hero’s had their legend fade into myth’ time has passed since the Great War for Heathmore’ and though the Vikings of Valkinheim, The Knights of Ashfield, The Samurai of the Mire and the Wu Lin of the East continue to fight for had been lost to time. Many consider the past and the Great War a monumental lesson to what had happened during those times and what it had left for us. Well, here I am 4 years later. I played this game back in the beta days continued until year 4. Year 5 season 1 just dropped and although I no longer play, hearing this theme immediately drags me back into the first days of excitement, confusion and experiences i had along with everyone figuring out what they were doing. From pk’s lights dominating the playing field to wardens endless shoulder bashes, inability to parry, deflecting = godlike, centurions cutscenes or Shinobi’s ability to singlehandedly 1v2 players and finally the 1:3 ratio of match disconnections. The nostalgia this brings is incredible. I love that Ubisoft continues to support this game, as it has a sentimental ground in my library that prob won’t leave. However, I wouldn’t mind going back to the beta days and appreciate where for honor was for all its imperfections to the bettered state it sits at today. Y1S1 is legendary.

I straight up just watched all of this thinking about old for honor. How I looked up how to “block” orange attacks (shugo used to be a god hahahaha). Man, that’s a good memory. Thanks for the feels. Incredible to think it’s been 4 years. I picked up the game when I was a boy and now I’m a slightly older boy that is legally a man. I love this shit show and I think we’ll all miss it when it’s gone; even the ones who complain about hating it the most.

This was the perfect soundtrack at the time (I still do think this is very good) because the vibe of this is dark and slow and that is exactly how for honor played. it doesn't sound magical or mythical unlike the newer sound tracks and magical and mythical wasn't what this game was, it simply was a game set in the medieval ages and this is the type of music I would think of if you mixed all the the old music of samurais, knights and Vikings. I still like the game but I think it has come very far from the old for honor, for better or for worse.

Started playing this game at about the time vortiger was introduced, never got to hear to this beautiful piece of music in it's full form before, and boy oh boy, i love it. Right now, i'm a rep 9 kensei main with a side of orochi and i'm stuck in a reputation limbo; matchmaking normally takes 5 minutes and i'm always against rep 100/200 players and that really fucks ups things for me. But i'll still keep playing it, as broken as this game might be, i love it and i want to one day, be one of the rep 100 guys. Wish me luck, so the raider won't push me off the bridge.
