Also worth mentioning that although a neutral light after heavy parry does 5 less damage than his max punish, having access to his chained bash for his finisher pressure means it has a lot more potential for damage rather than his SB/zone which both only lead into his unblockable from bulwark

@@robertmelendez3132 a little outdated now but basically on heavy parry a BP can go for zone/forward bash for stamina damage and 17 guaranteed, plus unblockable pressure afterwards if needed. Going for just a neutral light on heavy parry nets 15 but has full access to BP's chained pressure afterwards (unblockable, bash, chained lights, undodgeable heavies)

Max punish off parry is light to heavy from any side(u can guard switch) but GB punish is light to heavy (can’t switch guard otherwise heavy is blocked). Btw these are OOS punishes. Damage is 40. There is one more punish for 41 damage but it’s not guaranteed. On parry, bulwark slash or top heavy to light. (Light must not be the same side as your opponents guard because it will be blocked).

out of curiosity, why would / should they patch out the shield bash following superior light? I feel like superior light at just 20 damage is never worth giving up a light parry to an opponent, and people rarely use the superior lights as it is now.

Black Prior also has the old dodge delay from switching guards on him there was a reddit thread showing he has 300ms delay or something before he can dodge if he changes guard or has the patch just brought it back for everyone?

I knew were was something strange about the bash, failed so many times to dodge it. A quick question, if you dodge the light attack, is the following shieldbash guaranteed? I am never able to dodge it.

If you dodge the light, and aren't playing a character like Raider that has a dodge -> guardbreak kind of ability, the Bash will hit you if you don't do something after the dodge. I can often times dodge the light but the shieldbash still hits. sometimes its the opposite, they shieldbash from neutral, and i correctly time the dodge, but the Light comes out so fast that i can't react to it. I dunno. Maybe i'm just bad.

If you get wallsplat, you *can* do light into bash into light. I'm doing that very often and it works most of the time.

You would think that they would at least get some Beta testers to find these bugs BEFORE releasing the Hero. But, No. They're taking the Bethesda Approach to fixing their game. Have content creators highlight the bugs and issues, and in your case Freeze, Frame-check videos that highlight bugs like JJ's animations. Instead of hiring beta testers, or letting people such as yourself have access to the character before the release of them, even before the 7 day early access, they drop the character with little to not testing and it shows. I really hope they learn from this and start being a bit more proactive about the new hero releases. Thank you for the content, keep up the amazing work!

@@fashionsuckman4652They were only able to flip each other because the Bulwark counter reacts to the follow up unblockable. If an enemy falls down from flip or shugo back massage you dont get staggered -> cant flip with Bulwark And since (i think) your Bulwark doesnt react to teammate attacks a chain flip is, sadly, impossible

On heavy parry it's obviously a light, shield bash and guaranteed light for 40 dmg.. bash can be dodged but rn it's extremely rare..

Cesar Cardenas first light only does 15 damage and doesn’t confirm the bash. If it does work you get an extra 15 damage. If the opponent dodges the bash then you fo 5 less damage. The reason you bash after heavy parry is the extra 5 damage and stamina damage which is guaranteed

They need to fix the punish on a failed Vort faint-shieldbash. Some heroes (like Vort.) dont recover fast enough from the dodge so that they can get a succesful gb or light. They also need to ad a punish if the enemy Vort. misses a shieldbash so that mirror matches are not about who gets the sb or light hit first. The two-hit chain is also kinda boring since it feels like the enemy is spamming (which i get told alot lul 🤷‍♂️)

Aren't there a couple characters like that? Like I think Conq, Warlord, and Tiandi all have shoves that can only be guaranteed a punish by characters that have dodge attacks. I could be wrong though. Not sure about Glad, Cent, or my boy LB.

No, Black Prior is on a whole ‘nother level. The only characters to counter the bash are conqueror, lawbringer, a highlander with super-human reflexes, shinobi if he can predict it, gladiator although he gets nothing from it, and another black prior

It's more than eveyone else's who has is it omnidirectional. That's not balanced. Warden's only does the damage it does because it's from one side. Why should BP get all this damage for his easy superior light.

Second, it makes him satisfying to play when you make a good read and get it on a light you get more dmg than with a light parry. If you think it's too much than maybe it's because you make it too easy to use it on you, every character has his perks and flaws why does 40 confirmed dmg on superior need to get pached ?( especialy when you can't spam it like his or conq's shield bash light) And it's not like it's warden's 58 dmg with shoulder bash mixup starting, the combo ends after than unless you go for a bowark unblockable ( i don't know how it's typed ^^), but you can see if that's feinted?
