The reason everybody hates gender locked females and don't care about gender locked males is that the vast majority of the playerbase is male, it's not really that complicated to understand.

I just want them to bring back the range, make wtp safe after gunshot, bring back sf on dash heavy, and lower gunshot revenge and then she would be great.

And also whenever the comp community complains that a hero is too strong, the casual player base (typically on reddit) runs with that and assumes every aspect of the character is absolutely broken. Which they are not. Biggest reason why she was broken in comp for a while was the confirmed gunshot on external attacks, this made her a nightmare to fight against. She could confirm very easily and bloodlust + t3 was insane. The damage didn't need a massive nerfs

The only reason I hated Pirates design is cause I wanted Blackbeard stuff, but she is still based off a real pirate and that's neat, just not in my interests. I know western pirates seem overdone to some people but it would have been neat to have cosmetic sets for both, though ik that would have never happened

I wish pirate also had Western inspired armor sets. The Chinese pirate aesthetic is cool, but it would be nice to also have the option of becoming the female version of blackbeard. Ubisoft did it for Gryphon, so I don't see why they can't do it for her

I dont mind pirate being genderlocked to female. What i mind is every single character post-Zhan Hu being genderlocked. I bet you the next outlander will be and the viking after that too. It gets old.

Most people hate the fact of gender locking at this point because most of the community are guys, and most heros don't really have a reason to be genderlocked. I've always seen it as the community has been burned and are now just in a constant state of unhappy and have been burned so now they don't want to listen to community as much.

As someone who has played this hero for 70+ reps in mm and plenty in scrims/tourneys pre and post all nerfs, I'd honestly say she wouldnt need much. She's not fundamentally op or bad. She has a solid foundation. But the numbers need tweaking. I personally would love to see the gunshot be treated more like a gank tool and- or to finish ppl off.

Pirate was broken on release, that is true. However, the biggest problem was the infinites, but in typical Ubi fashion instead of slowly tuning a hero down they nerfed all 5 complaints at the same time. The speed of her dodge attacks, her chain speed, her dmg, her reach, and the infinites. The infinites needed to go, however the other 4 changes did not need to all happen at the same time. Why can't we ever nerf one aspect of a character and see how that changes it. Makes no sense.

that dumb shit about reloading could have all been avoided if they just added in an extra 0.2 second animation where she drops her pistol after a shot and pulls out a new one ala reaper from overwatch
