"What do you miss?" "Well, I don't care if it does sound silly. I miss those wet stockings you used to have hangin' around the bathroom. And I miss my razor being dull because you used it to shave your legs with. And, I miss the hairpins mixed up with the fish hooks in my tackle box. It's no fun havin' a clothes closet all to myself, and its no fun swearing because you're not around to make believe your shocked by it. Nothings any good without you Maggie. I miss alot of things. I guess I just miss you."

No other activity on earth can make me feel so fantastic again and again and again as experiencing The Parent Trap 1961. The remake simply did zero justice except to destroy what was so masterfully created and conveyed in the ORIGINAL. Why touch or try to bring 'up to date' this film which easily and effortlessly captures such an endearing time with such a brilliantly chosen cast. "Producers of today's putrid society! Leave the classics alone to bask in their own illumination 'For Now...For Always!'"

Yes, just the PERFECT song, for this movie's end. The last few scenes are great, as Maggie and Mitch are in the kitchen reminiscing over old times(yes, after Mitch orders Sharon and Susan out of his sight, for what they did to Vicky over the camping trip,no less),and next morning, the twins awake having had the strangest dream, which actually COMES TRUE--their parents GET REMARRIED!!! Yes, just LOVELY, and BREATHTAKING, as Sharon and Susan come marching in dressed in bridesmaids' attire, Maggie and Mitch are "pronounced husband and wife again,"and both sets of grandparents look on BEAMING, as the chorus crescendoes, singing,"For heaven, for always, FOR YOU!!!" as the home blessing changes from "Bless our broken home"to "Bless our HAPPY home,"and the movie ends. I know that actually looks like Verbina, Mitch's housekeeper, and Hecky, his hired hand, at the wedding at the end, but I still like to interpret those as Mitch's parents,Sharon and Susan's paternal grandparents, of course, since they are seen together, like they're man and wife. And of course, that's definitely the McKendricks, Margaret's parents Louise and Charles, also seen looking proud as punch, as Maggie and Mitch are reunited in holy matrimony.

The Disney studio singers...such a great orchestration, probably by Walter Sheets or Bobby Hammack, perhaps Camarata..sounds like Camaratas counterpoint ,maybe his sketch score, orchestrated out by one of these geniuses? (Disney guys)...genius sound!
