For only $10... this budget Wheeljack is actually great? Transformers Authentics Alpha Class

I could easily see them shrinking this down if they wanted to do a core class Wheeljack. He's already a simplified version of the Earthrise transformation. Maybe put the feet on regular hinge joints to reduce parts a little more.

I actually prefer the sculpt and proportions of this over the Earthrise one, they atleast got the chest shape right on this one.

the reason they did that is to be different to the real car because Hasbro/takara no longer has the license to the look of the real car

I'm glad to see this. I was a Wheeljack fan as a kid during the G1 era and had a second hand Wheeljack that would fall apart during transformation because he was missing some screws or something. Back when I got Cybertron Downshift and seen his head, I thought he was a reconfigured Wheeljack with a name mix up so, for years I just regarded him as Wheeljack. I haven't collected in a while and now that money is very, very tight, I'm thinking about settling for whatever is available and maybe even designing my own robots and getting into scratch building.

The level of "some god damn good toy's", no, not really. There are good for what they are aka "cheaper versions of popular characters". And since were talking about "good authentics". Soundwave and Shockwave from this line aren't that bad either.

@@dedalionarts6077 if i buy a toy for 5 to 10 dollars and it has decent articulation, a fun transformation and looks good then it is worth the price more then it is. don't forget there are mainline toys like the weaponisers that are smaller, cost more and have no usefull articulation. not to mention those "scouts" from cyberverse that where all apart from dirge crap.

After doing some research I picked up this Wheeljack today because of the look and the $10 price point. He's great,bits in perfectly with my earthrise and WFC figures, but for like $15 to $20 cheaper. Been in the fence about buying him for about a month now and he's definitely worth it. Plus he's more Voyager sized than the deluxes. So happy with him in my display.

I’d say the best authentics figure is Bravo Class Optimus Primal. He’s basically a scaled down version of kingdom primal to slightly bigger than core class for $5 with less hollowing than most deluxes have and articulation as good or better than most current deluxes

These are perfect entry level figures for young fans. Nothing more annoying to a 5 year old than having small figures with complicated transformations. A little kid can figure this out on their own without an adult. Just wish it didn’t have loose ball joints and pegged together better. It needs improvement.

He's pretty great, but I wish he was a coree/legends size cuz we don't have a good legends scale wheeljack. And I think he'd look better in that size cuz of "balloon drawing effect"(when you draw on inflated balloon and let the air out drawing looks sharper).

setting aside the plastic quality and hollowness, am I the only one who thinks this actually LOOKS better in BOTH modes than Earthrise Wheeljack? Especially the torso. It uses basically the same transformation but just has better proportions IMO

I think the best authentics figure I found was optimus primal picked it up at 5 and below his elbows don't bend fare but it's really solid and looks great

I really want to see what Hasbro would be able to achieve if the authentics toys were smaller. Like that 10 dollar guys at deluxe sized but with better overall quality. Also I’d say wait on getting Wheeljack until Christmas time, there have been leaks that we’ll be getting deluxe 2 packs for 25 bucks each, including one with Wheeljack and perceptor. 2 deluxes for 25 dollars

While I've found Bravo class to be mostly lacking personally, I've been suprised by these Alpha class figures. Pretty much all of them are at least decent, especially for their price, albeit a bit flimsy in places. I wonder how much better they could be if they were deluxe size, or if the cost of the extra plastic to make them as big as they are is negligible compared to the cost of the tooling itself.

I had both the earthrise and generations wheeljack, after a few weeks I sold the earthrise, I kept the generations wheeljack because it has that unique look that fits the character, idk how to explain it

I'm finally returning to Transformers collecting after the disaster that was Combiner Wars drove me away from Transformers entirely. Literally what is going on? Is this like some new budget line or something?

it's a line of cheap budget friendly toys that are made to combat the knockoffs you find in dollar stores, and there are some good ones as long as you stay away from the titan changers. combiner wars would not even been so bad if it was not the entire line doing the same thing.

Yeah their just ment to be some cheap transformers you get for a kid so they’re happy I got the ratchet pretty fun before all the joints got extremely loose and the transformation taps just stopped working but I didn’t take much to fix the joints and the tabs

Ok yes Earthrise is like double the cost but at least he would goes well with the other mainline toys! Granted I agreed he probably the best one out of that line.

they both got their charm. the legs on this one actually look better. less disproportionate. i also like better the spoiler on this one and transformation is intuitive.
