There is always something that we can learn from what we experience... even those "negative feelings" that we hesitate to understand :)

This is so good Sena! Society tends to pressure you to get married at certain age, behave a certain way and get your sheesh together by a certain age. With men, you don't want to be perceived as being 'lost' especially when you've worked a certain amount of years and that's why it's hard for me to find, let's say colleagues to discuss our future aspirations. It's an ego thing that emasculate men if they 'admit' that they're feeling 'lost' in life but to me, I'm slowly learning and learning that the only constant thing in life is change.

This literally came at the perfect time! I’ve been feeling very empty, and lost in my life and I feel like there is something wrong with me for feeling that way. However, your perspective has shown me that feeling lost can be a good thing too, and I should explore this feeling instead of associating it with shame. Thank you so much for all of your videos, you are truly a kind and peaceful soul

#3. The more I learned the more I didnt give a crap what others thought of me or my decisions etc. After I turned 50 I couldn't care less what others think. Its freeing and I'm not lost in life anymore. I'm happy with it even with some regrets. You live and learn and live again. Great video Sena!!! Enjoy the weekend!!

For most of my life I was doing things that is more or less influenced by others, because I didn’t want to disappoint or say NO to given opportunities by others. But the thing is during that time I was feeling the most lost. Same goes with my partner I had a long term relationship. To that partner I was introduced by my friends with the sentence “just try he’s an awesome person you will like him”… and I did because I didn’t want to be disrespectful. Of course that was not so good thing to do because In the end I had to make a choice to be the “bad guy” if you know what I mean. But while the time goes and I had some experience in my life, with work, friends etc. I can say that I’ve change my point of view on life and friendships. I clearly know “what I don’t want” and rest of it I’m looking at as an amazing experience that I’ll get and learn from it. Feeling lost is not a bad thing that is a warning or opportunity to think what you need to do or change in your life. Because right now you are going against yourself and this is not the way you want to live. I still feel that “lost” or “what to do” feeling time to time, but as it was said “even in dark you can find a light”. May we all have a great experience’s in our lives and doesn’t matter if those experience’s are grand or small. It is your life and not other peoples life. Be good to yourself first ❤️

Thank you Sena for the video! I often feel lost in life, and fully agree with your approach to tackle this feeling. Without trying you never know what you want or don't want =]

Some good points Sena, it seems like it's driven by competitive society. Following your passion is something i have always struggled with, since society wants you to have a "useful" function to contribute to capitalism to have a nice house, car, family etc. But the irony is if most people got that they would be unhappy. Society has never been more unhappy I think.

We were souls before we entered into this world. Our souls came back to earth to make further progress. Our soul's final destination is enlightenment. The ultimate purpose of life is to progress spiritually. We have a spiritual purpose which we have forgotten due to the ignorance in this world. Most people do not know about this purpose. We are too caught up with the material living. Schooling, working, making a living, settling down into a family, etc. And after all we have done, it seems something is still missing. What is that 'something'? It is our soul's quest for spiritual continuation. We cannot become enlightened in one life time because enlightenment is a enormous undertaking. It takes quite a few lifetime in order to attain enlightenment. So our soul needs to come back again and again in order to make progress. In each lifetime we make some progress, provided we become conscious of our soul's purpose. Otherwise we will return back to earth countless of times until finally we become 'awakened' and realize we have been wasting our time all this while chasing after the wrong things. It is our soul that tries to prompt us to question about the purpose of life. That emptiness within us comes from our soul's hunger for peace, for light. Peace and light are foods for our soul. We feed our soul food by meditation. When we meditate, the air we breathe becomes food. It's like charging a battery. We are like battery in a mobile phone. When our battery is low, we need an outlet in order to connected ourselves with something higher than us, something greater than us. What is that 'Something'? It is God. Through meditation, we try to connect ourselves with God the Cosmic energy that gives us something spiritual, like peace, light and bliss. Friends of the earth, dun waste your lives anymore. Go and learn to meditate. Your soul will be so thankful to you. It's only then that you will feel what true happiness really is.

I like the phrase by Steve Jobs. His life, experience, and phrases are often seen in the textbooks that Japanese high school students use in school. In my view, connecting the dots will surely help us get back on the right path even when we get lost at some point in life.

I'm 36 and about to graduate from college in August. I'm looking to continue staying in Japan as a video editor and have done some interviews but no job offers yet. As much as I love doing what I do, I can't help but feel like I'm doing something wrong.
