It makes my nerdy heart so happy to see a period appropriate reed organ (also called a parlor organ or pump organ) in a house like this. The square grand piano is also beautiful and, being older, could absolutely have been there at the same time. This renaissance woman and I would have gotten along great!

One of those dream homes that makes you wish to be a millionaire. How beautiful! I love the big homes with lots of bedrooms and other cottages on the property. I had 6 kids I have more than a dozen and a half grandchildren and a great grandson. Talk about a dream place. God bless

This home is around the corner from me. It's owned by our once postman. He told us it was going up for sale. I had no idea it included the two cottages also. I just walked past the darker of the 2 and was so wishing I could see inside. I toured this property a long time ago when I wanted to work there. They called it the Angel House. Do you think that's a fair price for your area? how long do you think the house will be on the market? The reason I ask is, real estate here is selling like hot-cakes, often time selling way above asking price.

@@circlethewagons I work online so it's my pleasure to reply 😄 NH is a whooooole different world than Arkansas. It's a very inexpensive place to live, or was, until Biden. Things are going up now, but gas, food, housing are still way cheaper than anywhere else in the states. But you have to take into account the schools are a joke. That being said, I've come back here 3x over the years (traveler) because the people are so sweet.

Oh my, overboard luxury. Just love the woods throughout. The carving was also lovely and all the fireplaces. The stain glass makes the wood even lovelier. A lot of hard work by many in their lives. Really excellent. Thanks for a spectacular tour. 🌷🌷

Oh, thank you for the tour! This home is fantastic. While not as lavish as some, I adore all of the original "modern" conveniences and the special decorative touches added by the very capable and artistic Sarah. I appreciate you sharing her story. It seems Prosper hit the jackpot with his "mail-order bride", lol. So often we hear of the Victorian lady entertaining, visiting, doing 'good works', etc. She reminds me of various female artists, sculptors, designers, weavers, potters, and garden designers I've read about; women who shone during the Arts and Crafts movement. I hope the new owner will appreciate this special place, and carry on the legacy. I enjoy seeing and learning about your home state of Arkansas, and hope you and all of your homes avoid these crazy floods. Stay safe! :)

Wow thank you for the wonderful Hot Springs History lesson!!! My great-great grandfather Dr. David McKnight Wilson came to the Hot Springs area in 1887-8 from Texas and was possibly acquainted with Dr. Ellsworth, he also served for the Civil War for the Confederates. Unfortunately, Dr. Wilson and his wife died in the spring of 1896 after treating many during that year's flu epidemic. Amazing how paths cross and change lives forever. In learning for you, I may have tied another thread of my family together.

I would give anything to be young again and able to buy this home! A place to be proud of, and want to retain the historical story for all to know and respect, when coming to the B & B. Just need y The money and would sell our homeband move to.Hot Springs Arkansas! My son is into contracting and my husband is older , but able to do some work. This is over our means, but the move will also be so much easier for those able to buy this home, when the furniture ( that is lovely) is left to help them get started in their living and starting up their business, as it has been so far. SO much to look forward to, also with maybe more renovation on other areas. Thank you!
