I Had one of them same Color but a Soft top with Black trim and GT dash with a 6 cyl , When i got it In the 80"s the Paint had all Peeled off the Bonnet and other Places apprently it was Common with that Color It was a Nice car Tho Loved it

Lovely car. My dad had an 1973 XA Hardtop which he bought in 1977. It was already rusting really badly even at that age. I'm amazed that any of these cars survived the dreaded tin worm....

⁉️ There MUST be a major cultural difference between Australia and the US when it comes to cars during the 1950s through the 1970s. In the US, 4-door sedans WERE viewed as NON-sporty family cars. American car manufacturers did not promote ANY 4-door auto models as performance/sports cars, period. However, car manufacturers used to offer FAR MORE choices in engines, transmissions, suspensions, etc, etc. than now. That meant that customers in the 60s & 70s could technically order pretty much ANY car model with pretty much any drivetrain and suspension options they desired. Still, only a small number of customers ordered 4-door sedans(and even a few station wagons) with high performance drivetrain and suspension options. But, they were few and far between.

There were still plenty of 2 doors and they were more popular in racing ie bathurst, but most Australians just wanted a tough family car that had heritage from the racing coupes and hardtops but could still fit all the kids in and yes there is a big cultural difference between america and aus
