I have worked for Cummins for 14 years. Not a huge Dodge chassis fan. However the Cummins engine is the only one of the big 3 that is put in chassis larger than 1Ton trucks! The same Cummins engine that is put into the Dodge pickups, is also put into school buses, UPS trucks, box trucks, Ford heavy duty trucks F-650 and larger. The larger F series trucks usually don't run the ford diesel engines, they farm it out to Cummins and other heavy duty engine manufactures, because the Ford Diesel will not do the same job, nor will the Duramax. Any year Dodge with the Cummins engine, will do what your asking of it, all the way back to 1990. You will probably need to beef up the transmission, but that is all.

God bless you and your family...never change...you are perfect just the way you all are.

@athhud5 жыл бұрын
Gary Garland on any other vehicle an oil cooler is stupid simple. Ford figures out a way to totally screw up something simple in such a way that it will destroy the entire engine before the average joe even figures out that anything is wrong. Just google the image of this oil cooler. Hint: it doesn’t look like any kind of cooler that you would find on any half-decent machine ever... The internals are even more idiotic.

Its just easier to pull the cab makes the job easier.

A modern 6.7 DRW is pure torque joy. Adaptive cruise control is the cherry on top. Toss in an Ultimate Trailer TPMS/ camera option and you achieve towing nirvana. Not to mention “ Decent Control” engine braking.

I have an 03 6.0 Powerstroke. 250,000 miles and it runs alright. It sounds awesome and when the turbo decides to work (albeit not very often) it actually launches but it’s got a few problems oil leak, turbo needs to be cleaned or upgraded, headers/injectors need replaced, EGR needs to be bypassed and a few other things. I basically bought a 5,000$ project/hobby rather than a truck.
