6.0's with 2019 fuel standards ARE good. When the 6.0 was used in the US it was built around Europe's ultra low sulfer standards, at the time the US was VERY behind and using very dirty fuel, the US did not get its diesel fuel to European standards until about 2010. So, a serviced 6.0 with the bullet proof mods on todays cleaner diesel runs VERY well......6.4 is shit because of the type of emissions equipment it uses, thats why the 6.7 went to using DEF fluid and having a easy to service EGR.

My 5.7 did this a while back, it's definitely the fan clutch, it'd be a good idea to do a full coolant flush and thermostat change to be safe
@LinkcardEBTCash5 жыл бұрын
If it was a fan clutch it would be at in town speeds not highway speeds. There is enough air flow going past the radiator. At 70 +mph I'm not saying your wrong about the fan clutch being broken but my guess is the radiator cap is not holding the correct pressure. Causing to lower the boiling point of the coolant.
@Resswood5 жыл бұрын
@linkard, I do believe your right about the radiator cap, but when my fanclutch went bad it was doing this same thing, granted it's a Chevy not a ferd but still if I was Matt I'd look into replacing it all lol

exhaust fins are to keep tip cool while it goes into "regen" to burn the soot out of the dpf filter. never replace tip on diesel exhaust if you dont delete the dpf filter could burn paint. delete filter and tune for more fuel milage and power without going to far to risk head gasket or head studs (usually first thing to go in diesel engines due to boost pressure)
