Actually diggin' this song. Interesting to see bands that IMO fell off like FTFD and OM&M switch to a more rockish sound, and honestly I think it's panning out better for both of them. Crazy how this is the same band that released back-to-back albums in Changes and Relentless that both played pivotal roles in my approach to songwriting, but those times are stamped in my own history, and this new sound is one I can get behind.
@TheyCallMeBelky6 жыл бұрын

Oh, the wonders of KZbin. I wish I could put into words what I'm feeling right now, or at least words that could truly do it justice. I found this song like 4-5 years ago during the second half of my active addiction. The numbness I felt was like an overcast day that had no end. The only way I was able to feel anything at all, and see the smallest ray of hope pierce the clouds, was through music. I would put this song on while I worked out alone in my bedroom, and the pain, rage and hurt would purge, as I'd scream this song while crying my eyes out. I had forgotten all about this song for a few years, and it just happened to pop up on my KZbin feed today. I'm so very thankful to say that it brought me to tears again today, but because I'm approaching two years clean. The utter hopelessness I lived in has passed, almost like I've awoken from a waking nightmare. And I'm now in the place that I always had daydreamed about when I would play songs like this and I'd be able to feel again for a few moments, long enough to hold onto a shred of hope again. To anyone experiencing something similar, anyone struggling with despair, just find that shred of hope within you, find an outlet that helps you get in touch with it, AND NEVER FUCKING GIVE UP. Because what doesn't kill you, will make you stronger. We get up, we get up, JUST GET UP AGAIN
