Bazinga was the song they dedicated to those who doubted them. And this was the song that put them in the Billboard's Hot Trending chart in 2021. It surpassed BTS' Butter, staying in the Number 1 spot for 7 wks. They were the 1st Filipino boy band and Southeast Asian act to be nominated in BB's Top Social Artist alongside BTS, Ariana Grande, Blackpink and Seventeen. And the rest is history. As they say, success is the best revenge.

Yes, they had a lot of haters from the very beginning. In one of their very first press conferences, they were met with skepticism and doubt about the music genre (PPop). The media were saying it's not different from KPop and the general public mostly viewed them as copycats. One of the "journalists" even said that Stell (the main vocal) should change his name to Stella because they were wearing makeup and had dyed hair - generally just being homophobic and ignorant. They were hated on for being "KPop wannabes" and being "ordinary-looking".

Really appreciated your continued support to SB19 & your great reviews/lyrics breakdown. - the water bar is from Bruce Lee's famous line - Pablo the leader, producer/song writer indeed got the inspiration for the track title in Bigbang Theory - the video character of SB19 was inspired by their individual fan houses or what their fans nicknamed them like Pablo's fans called Hotdogs (his fave food) while his house called Freezer, Josh's Barbecue (Ihawan/grilled house), Stell's Strawberry (Stellberry Farm), Ken's Chicken/Sisiw(chick)/Manokan(Poultry Farm), Justin's Corn (Maisan/Corn Farm) They're literally got hated to core & even called a kpop wannabees or copycat but their passion won over that all. They're an inspiration for all the dreamers. Up next MANA which is another track for haters, bashers, doubters. It really is a reference to The Bigbang Theory. Pablo is fan of the show. While the use of Bazinga in the show is like rubbing a good joke on someone's face, Pablo used it in a sense that they are rubbing their success to their hater's faces.

How are you so good at these things?! I’m a new A’TIN this year and a lot of these I had to learn from other videos and articles learning about their backstory. It’s easy to get the essence of the song but for you to catch those extra details and even frequently guess correctly what they mean is just top shelf (🙌🏽🙌🏽)! Believe me I don’t think we care what you may have missed bec we’re simply amazed that you noticed them in the first place. And yes, they did get a lot of HATE. Crab mentality pervades in the Filipino culture. If you’re just starting, you openly express doubts, criticize them - looks, copycat, etc. And if you’re getting famous that’s where the crab mentality comes in and try to pull them down whatever it takes. 😢

What they are doing is very new to the Philippines’ music industry especially back then. 9/2/2019 - Go Up! Dance Practice went viral and changed their lives after the long struggle that they had since pre-debut. - Yes they are sponsored by Pepsi. - Bazinga! Is indeed from The Big Bang Theory as it is Pablo’s favorite TV show. Sheldon uses the term Bazinga! To say that what he did is a joke. In this context it’s like a bazinga to the haters and that they are not a joke and that they will show what they’re capable of. Thanks for the great RV and breakdown as always! Every hate and bashing that are thrown at them translates into "blessings". Like Pablo's mantra "Always choose to be kind to others", that's why all the hates they recieved they took it in a positive way and made it their ammunition to persevere and work harder to achieve their dreams. 102618 - is the date when sb19 was officially launched as a group.. 9/02 - was the date when their dance practice went viral for the first time.. "Wataah!" is Bruce Lee's yell each time he kicks or punches somebody.. remember that? Pablo also quoted Bruce Lee's "be like water" advice to those who are learning martial arts or just learning about life in general. And yes, this is some sort of clapback to their haters. So many mocked, ridiculed, and told them they weren't good enough to make it in the music industry but look at them now.

Yeah, they got a lot of hate when they were just starting. This PPop thing is not common by that time, and they were criticized and laughed at by close-minded people even reporters and veteran singers who were not used to seeing a" sing and dance group". They were told that they are trying hard K-pop copycats. They even made fun of how they look, their hair color, etc. There are tons of bashers but that didn't stopped them to pursue their dreams, and this song is dedicated to these haters. And jeez, this really a big slap to them because this song is the first ever south east Asian song to top on billboard charts for 7 consecutive weeks. 🎉❤ So yeah, keep the hate coming and they will make songs out of those😅😂🎉❤

3:20 yeah they got a lot of hate because their type of music is fairly new here. labeled as wannabes. until now actually, there is still hate but mostly on visuals, just haters being haters. although they get more love now compared to that time during Bazinga's release. anyway, as a new A'tin, i could say they are still not that big here, a lot still dont know who they are or have listened to their songs beyond Mapa (& now Gento), i personally dont even have friends who have listened to them. maybe because of what the haters have been spreading reached and stuck to them more.

Pablo is a Big Bang fan. It sad that they had to fight their way to the top in their own country! Filipinos are so talented but to often they try imitate KPop or Western artists. SB19'S goal has always been to elivate Filipino music and Culture to the Global population. It was often met with sceptisicm from their own country. The current PPop industry is a close knit group and the members of SB19 try to promote everyone rather than competing with them. Currently there are a dozen or more of just PPop groups emerging in the Philippines but SB19 are considered the Kings.
