This is one of those performances where you can hear in the background, the sound of thousands of guitars hitting the insides of dumpsters everywhere!!🤣😆 She is so gifted, it's ridiculous! That said, Tina has just popped back up again a few weeks ago with a new single from a band she is now in, called Spin Twice? Be warned, she sounds nothing like she did on these older tracks, and I'm hoping for another couple tracks to drop to really form an opinion on how she's doing now.😉

1. Steve Vai did react to this (If I remember it was a tweet). Needless to say he was impressed. 2. Nobody knows for certain in any documented way what Tina is doing now. There are pictures of her from school but I'd never repost people's social media because that is rude and creepy. 3. In the absence of information I think it's great to realize that she already left us with so much amazing music to enjoy. Greatness is never quantity really, anyways. 4. This is my favorite piece of hers because I think it shows her precision as well as her immense capacity for expression. I'm not sure I'd even like the piece played by anyone else. It requires a very certain kind of nous to convey it's longing and heartache and Tina does this perfectly.

I have been to many 100s of concerts since 1971, have seen any guitar master worth his salt other than Jimmy Hendrix and damn, just for her talent alone she has to be in my top 20, she was that good. It is a shame she disappeared soon after these videos a decade or so ago, she sure would have been hot if she pursued her musical career. I hope she is happy whatever she is doing now. 🎸

On a purely technical level, she has to be among some of the best rock and classical guitarists in the western world. One can’t be on that level and just walk away from it forever, but people have been saying that for years now so apparently she did just that.

She was bullied by horrible people on the internet, so she had enough, stopped, and went to University to pursue an education. I just think she got a whiff of what the music industry might be like and she didn’t want it, but nobody seems to know for sure what she ultimately decided to do. I’m sure we all just want her to be happy.

I’m glad some of the guitar gods gave her positive feedback including Herman Li of DragonForce who positively reviewed her cover of his guitar work. He actually reached out to get her come to their concert and play on stage with them when they were in France, but he wasn’t able to get in touch with her and he actually invited her again on his KZbin review to come out and jam with the band, but so far nothing from her, so it seems to me that music isn’t the way she wants to go, at least professionally because that first step might open some doors for her.

Skip the first 4 and a half minutes - it’s just these talking mugs. Then the rest as they keep talking over her playing, and pausing the video to talk - you can’t even really see her playing because their heads take up 75% of the viewing area, and the amazement they exclaim -they’ve clearly never seen Steve Vai play this song because her playing mirrors his playing note-for-note.
