Isaiah 53:5, he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes, we are healed. For salvation, we just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They were baptized in water for the removal of sins and filled with the Holy Ghost. Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled and rising again from the dead. That's what Acts 2:38 is. We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ... Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT a man, be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD. We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritans. Our salvation has to match up with the scriptures and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away. Eternity is TOOO long to be WRONG! st, John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church. It's better to walk alone than to walk with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, And they continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. Don't get Titus 3:5 mixed up with James 2:14-26, about WORKS. One is a WORK of your OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS OR GOOD DEEDS and the other is a WORK OF FAITH. Titus 1:16, They profess that they know God; but in WORKS they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. @@mikemccormick9667 LOl. I wonder who said that? Water baptism according to the word of God, takes away sins. Acts 2:38. Water is water and spirit is spirit. Water itself can't take away sin, but OBEDIENCE TO WATER BAPTISM DOES. Salvation in our time is nothing to fight over. Jesus Christ set up one way for all people. Jew, Gentile, and Samaritans, all came the same way. God is not the author of confusion, so he didn't put out all these different ways to be saved. Have you obeyed Acts 2;38 yet?

You can't put it off and be saved when you have the opportunity to. All came the same way. Grow up and stop trying to put thought in my head. I NEVER SAID WATER BAPTISM GIVES THE HOLY GHOST. I obeyed Acts 2:38 over 40 years ago and I know that's not true at all. One must repent, Luke 13:3. Be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the removal of sins and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. You are very deceived if you think the Holy Ghost is gone. Lol. You stuck on a lie. The devil don't want you to receive it. Romans 8:9. Read it. Please stop bothering me.

I received water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the removal of sins. It's right there in the bible which you claim to read. Acts 2:38. I received the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the spirit gave the utterance. The so -called Holy Ghost that people are receiving without the initial evidence is a fake. Feeling good, is not the Holy Ghost. Just saying you believe, is not the Holy Ghost. You said the Holy Ghost Acts 2:38 was addressed to the Jews, it"s really Hebrews or the house of Israel. Acts 2:36. Thanks funny, because the Gentiles and Samaritans all received salvation the same way. Read the book of Acts and then get back to me. God is not the author of confusion. He set up one way for all people. No confusion. God did not set up all these man made churches down here that bring confusion. Lol. Jesus started one church and it was a Holy church. Ephesians 1:4, that we should be HOLY, that's all. He never told us to be baptist, or anything else. Lol. Please look it up! The church that you go to, look it up in the bible and let me know when you find it. So did you speak in tongues when you received the Holy Ghost? I don't need a crowd to follow me. Lol. I knew you didn't have the real Holy Ghost. You are probably a great person, but that's not going to get you in, because you have heard the right way. If you refuse to obey, then so be it. Have somebody read the book of Acts to you. You will clearly see tat all came the same way. Sorry! When you really love the Lord, you wouldn't have a problem doing it his way.

If you read 1 Corinthians 14:2, you will see more about speaking in tongues. When you are born again you speak to God. Please read. You just saying what you heard.
