Still can't believe A'rou would do this considering she was the dowry maid of Ruyi...they literally grew up together and she would have been married off to someone really good for her (someone who could temper her temper lol). Emperor knew how evil she was and that she was in collusion with the Empress amongst others to hurt Ruyi, she was Ruyi servant yet had no loyalty to her and wanted to enter the Harem. So he never touched her over the years out of respect to Ruyi. He wasn’t a good man in fact he was awful but in the earlier years he did still have some love and respect for Ruyi.
