Their reaction to this video is exactly how I felt when I discovered this song and band! I was a secular metal head before being saved. Since finding jesus, I've learned a lot of metal is negative. I listen to very few metal songs now, but this bad gives me my metal fix, all while glorifying God. It's my absolute favorite song. I wish they had made more music, but I understand we all get older and want to do other things. I pray they at some point down the line make acoustic albums of their old stuff.

Mattie Montgomery spoke about this song @ Liberty University Convocation. He said somebody asked him what he thought the biggest problem in the world was and his answer was fear cuz it holds us back. He wanted to make a song saying, "we will not be afraid" as a rallying cry. I actually found out bout this band from the Christian rapper KBs song "I Believe ft. Mattie from For Today". Break the Cycle and The Advocate are my personal favorite songs of theirs.

Man I really needed this. Was in the hospital for 17 days for a medical condition and when I came out I heard my mom past away. I was scared I wouldn’t be the same after this, but God is always there and we shouldn’t be afraid of what’s going to happen in the future.

Mattie is one of the best human beings I have ever met. There were a lot of Charlatans at this point in time in Metalcore and he truly walked the walk. He would never boast of it but I saw him save so many people after shows or on Warped Tour. I'm no longer Christian but I still hold the Book and Jesus as a guiding light. The song gives me visions of the last Battle with the Archangels and God fighting Satan and his army. Good stuff. For Today and Oh Sleeper always elicits goosebumps. Also, I kind of look at the Big Bang as God creating all. Maybe, maybe not. I love the thought though.

I love that you are getting to the arguments for God's existence! You almost got to the argument from contingency, or also into the vein of the Kalam Cosmological argument. For anyone who is unfamiliar with the Kalam, it's close enough to an airtight slam dunk argument. It's this: 1. Everything that begins with to exist have a cause. 2.the universe began to exist, therefore 3. The universe has a cause. The conceptual analysis is that the universe is all space, time, matter and energy, so the cause must have to be spaceless, timeless, uncreated, exceedingly powerful, personal, and incredibly wise.
