I came here to see the Hurta shove, but damn, the comments regarding the top runner due to her physical appearance is wild. As a side note, to say Hiltz should be tested is comical. She's going to the olympics - the testing qualifies, boomers.

More nervous and pointless running in US qualification rounds. What were the top 5 doing in heat one? Qualify whilst reserving as much energy as possible for the final.

ESP is the “golden girl” of track. She didn’t have room and impeded. And then doubled down by purposefully ran down on Klecker a second time. Anyone else would have been DQ’d for either of those let alone just once.
@johnlvs2run6 күн бұрын
ESP should have been disqualified. Klecker was defending her space and did nothing wrong.

Totally unnecessary pushing of St. Pierre at 150m, Pierre was in front of Klecker on the pole, Klecker tried to barge through and take Pierre's line.... 3min later, justice is served, Karma for Klecker!
@francesw.67746 күн бұрын
@@lewickerman That's what I saw too and I'm a ESP supporter. ESP clearly pinched Hurta down unnecessarily to start the incident and wasn't even close to having room to get to the inside lane when she did that. I don't blame Hurta for pushing her out of the way. She had every right to be where she was and had no obligation to back off and make room for ESP. Then ESP made her first bad move even worse by getting testy and forcing her way in front of Hurta, endangering both herself and Hurta. I don't know the rules on this kind of stuff in terms of disqualifications, but she was clearly to blame for all the contact and definitely impeded Hurta twice. It was lucky that one or both of them didn't fall. Stupid move by ESP. I'm sure she has high hopes in the 1500 at the Olympics and she nearly threw it all away at the start of a qualifying event, for no good reason.

Love to watch the announcers stumble across egg shells trying to not use a wrong pronoun and still describe what is going on. I guess they “the announcers that is” know one misspeak and they could be a target or quietly looking for a new job.

"they" is plural. using "they" to refer to a single person is confusing and silly

@midooley5435 күн бұрын
Correct me if I’m wrong, but can’t ‘they’ be used in singular form too? For example, if someone kicks a ball, you can say ‘they kicked the ball’. That doesn’t have to mean multiple people kicked a ball.
@brendabeans49865 күн бұрын
@@midooley543 in common conversation, people may use "they" to refer to one person, however, it's usually when referring to someone that is hypothetical, where gender isn't specific. For example, "if I were to tell someone this, they would say..." IS grammatically incorrect. The correct use would be "he or she would say..." but that takes more time/breath. But whether or not something is grammatically correct doesn't matter as much as the reasoning behind it. In Nikki's case, using they/them instead of she/her is a matter of delusion and mental illness and should not be encouraged in our society. I've been following Nikki's career for a long time, and I do respect her as a person and as a runner, but changing her pronouns does not change reality. Personally, I think a lot of people are confusing "sexuality" with "personality". Just because you're female doesn't mean you have to be feminine. The way Nikki presents herself makes it very clear that she's not traditionally feminine, and that's completely reasonable. Changing pronouns is just a cry for attention/validation.
