HI LAUREN! Liked and subscribed. Question: many teachers (on and off of KZbin), seem to emphasize (over emphasize?) specific strumming patterns (and picking, etc..) when performing a Cover. Personally, I believe someone can pick and or strum a song any way that they feel comfortable doing,. I've been playing for so many years, that learning another picking/strumming style seems a bit like re inventing the wheel. But its a Conundrum that I find myself in when learning covers because I feel "Lazy" (or whatever) and guilty (etc..) when I feel like I "MUST" learn it in that particular style , etc.. (like this song). But That is what makes a cover more "you", then the original artist, etc. What are your thoughts on this subject? Thanks much.

I agree wholeheartedly! On KZbin I give specific patterns because that's what most students want or need to start
