Hi Lauren - lack of dynamics is my #1 issue. I have the BEST guitars - and my chords are clean, but there is a monochromatic vibe to my playing. Thank you for the video!

Great advice!! One of the greatest things about learning how to play an instrument is that there is so much to learn. No matter how long you've been at it, there is always something new to learn. For me, that is a good thing, I know that music will always be there for me. Learning to play guitar was one of the best things I could've done. It gave me a much greater appreciation for music. The guitarists and musicians we listen make it seem so easy, but when you pick up an instrument and learn how to play, you quickly realize that there is alot of time and practice needed to achieve that level of playing. I've been playing for over 20 years, and I love to practice. The time spent is certainly well worth it, especially if you just love music in general.

5:09 This is one of the best advice for anything you cant play, because you have trouble putting your fingers there.... Your finger will learn the movement! - Even tho its another hand moving this finger. Your finger gotta feel, what its like, doing the desired movement! Pretty similar to: Once you learned a strumming pattern with your fingers, you will be able to play it with a pick right away without having to learn it,.. your brain will translate the movement. (as good as possible / if possible)

How many guitars do you own and do you have a favorite? I’ve owned a Seagull for several years and I want to upgrade but I’m not sure what to look for. I want a guitar that sounds bright😅Also thank you for telling me about Zager. I think they are imported so not sure of the quality. Thanks Lauren you are an amazing teacher

I have been "playing" guitar for 10 years and have not gotten very far. I've even at times lost my enthusiasm. I have watched so many videos, but actually have had no structure. Today is the first time I've watched Lauren, and she gave me my enthusiasm back. Thank you, Lauren.

55 now picked up guitar well 1 year or so ago, dropped out for gallbladder explosion, surgery, recovery. Picked back up 4 or so months after that, only available then was a dreadnaught class, Then someone gifted a first act strat, I really began the spidering and strumming, kind of got aggravated I was not an overnight Tina S. I am back at it doing well remembering I got into it for FUN, was not to be an 8th wonder, or a Jimi Hendrix it was for fun and learning.
