Its easy to do CG method and be sulfate free. I don't use alot of products to even allow buildup but in the past when I did experience that I just used apple cider vinegar and sometimes did herbal infusions with the vinegar or split the vinegar with herbal tea i have made.

Sulfate isn’t bad for everyone. I didn’t jump on that bandwagon and have been using it in my curls ever since I can remember. But it does dry out some people’s scalp and hair so it depends on the person really

I agree that SOME textures can withstand the sulfates but if you're already a DRY strand curly girl then you may not benefit as much. It's a moisture thing and everyone should use what works best for their hair.

You need to cleanse you don't neeeeed sulfate as she said, you can find a way to cleanse without sulfates. Acv, bentonite, and others. But I shampoo now and then just letting you know there are other ways and you don't need it, as said from someone who is sponsored by a product. Cute style though I'll be trying!

emily mcguckin cut your hair, stop using heat on it, since your hair gets really greasy try not to wash it everyday and let all that oil come out. First wash your hair every other day this will help it get used to it not being clean and your hair will not be greasy till about the 3rd day now.. And it will grow faster. Wash ur hair wear it down. Then the next day put it up and then wash again the next day... Your hair will become less greasy and thick, wash your hair with warm to cold water..

^ yes and try to only shampoo once a week (or whatever is good for your hair). and deep condition, protein masks, and leave in conditioners. rinsing with apple cider vinegar works really good too. look up Curly Penny on KZbin she gives so many tips for curly hair
