I've already learned from history. Passions will cool and an unspoken and unaddressed silent consensus will be reached in each country. From all the events in recent history, I don't think lessons were learned. Polling numbers on a given issue may shift, but I don't think it's ever hashed out. Two separate histories coalesce and never the two shall meet beyond some spattering of individuals discussing things and an awkward political middle, left hoping everyone could understand each other. It's the story of the tower of Babel each time. It's poetic, because people don't learn to speak each other's language in the end. Too melodramatic?

It's a shame they don't do their homework to know the full history like who the true indigenous people of Judea(the true name of what they refer to as Palestine)are, or that Judaism is a millennium older than Islam, or that many very poor Jewish people in Europe pooled their money to buy back some of the land in Judea(that was stolen from them), or that the name Palestinian is barely over a hundred years old and describes an amalgamation of various Arabs that wanted a title for political purposes. That most other Arab countries don't allow Palestinians into their countries That Egypt also shares a walled border with Gaza.. And that Palestinian "refugees" have been on the dole from UNRWA for 80 years non-stop, even though many have Jordanian citizenship. They spew phrases without knowing the historical meaning, or geography they refer to. I just can't figure out how they got into university, really......

@@JB-lp9xr That's a very valid point and I am surprised that Congress has not tried to amend the Amendment to read that way in the 230+ years since it was ratified. I think that way of thinking should be applied to a host of different rights and privileges the US provides to non-citizen/non-Permanent Residents. I often have said that if the government stopped providing free education and emergency room care to illegal immigrants, they would have to position the army at the border to prevent people from trampling each other as they left the country. I think the counter-argument as it applies to Constitutional Rights is that some of those rights, like speech and expression, come from natural law that every person is believed in American jurisprudence to be endowed with from God. As such, citizen or not, every person is entitled to speak their mind without the government trying to silence them. So were the government to make these rights dependent on citizenship, it would call into question the belief that rights come from God and not from government.

true facts....America is one of the only places in the world where Muslims Christians Jews Hindus among others can practice their faith right and how they see it...diversity within a society is a strength, but can also be abused and used against its population, which is happening now...the corrupted msm/social media/globalists/NGOS are using the divide and conquer strategy right now and many govts and greedy $ politicians are involved in this IMO (its been going on far a long time) US gives more opportunity for people to rise and show and prove competency and love for the Country and people you stand for....not seeing much of this at all right now smh

The protestors bemoan 80 years of Palestinian woes, but the Palestinians made choices that got them there and prolonged it. Jews are going on 5784 years of being exiled and losing everything many times over. Every year for all that time, we say ,"Next year in Jerusalem", why do we say that? The Romans exiled us from Judea ( then renamed it Palestine, a territory, not a legal entity, state, or country ,in the same way we say "the Central Valley"), our indigenous home, and it has always been our desire to go home. We did not originate in Poland as the protestors yell, nor are we colonizers. It was our land(and the Bedouins, and Druze) long before there were "Palestinians". Judaism is a millennium older, and in Israel, before Islam came into being. These kids yell slogans and take up a cause without knowing the full, complete, history.

@@Dan-sc7us You know, when I hear the mindless retorts mentioning "MAGA", it really makes me laugh. For logical people with even a cursory understanding of American History, MAGA is really just a re-run of policies that numerous Presidents of several political parties have advocated and embraced for the good of the country during their terms of office. America was a great country not all that long ago, surely in the era after our victories in WWII. We still had significant problems, but for the majority of Americans, it was a great country that provided opportunity and freedom. Since then we have made great strides to solve the problems that existed in the post-War period, but regrettably, we have allowed new problems to emerge and fester that threaten our existence as a country. It is the desire to reverse the course of those problem issues that are the foundational premise of making America great again. The bulk of our problems today are focused in four main areas that will destroy this country if not solved. First and foremost is fiscal responsibility, because no country has either taxed or infinitely borrowed its way to prosperity. The country needs to return to a more reasonable expectation of what government can provide based on what it generates in tax revenue. And its long past time that people understand that there is a huge difference between tax revenue and tax rates. Because except at the extremes, when a country raises tax rates it generates less tax revenue, and when it lowers tax rates it generates more tax revenue. The annoying talk that never seems to stop no matter how economically wrong it is about tax cuts for the rich needs to stop if we are to return to fiscal sanity. The government bean counters know what tax rates generate the most revenues as a percentage of our economic activity, and those are the rates that need be employed. What truly needs to be done is to reduce spending on programs we either cannot afford or don't need. Numerous studies have shown that government spending can be reduced by significant amounts across the entire spectrum of economic classes without causing harm to the US economy, and those cuts need to be made. A debt of $35 trillion going to $50 trillion in ten years is completely unsustainable, and no country can be great when its largest budgetary expenditure is interest on its outstanding debt. Prior to the last forty years, all of our Presidents save for FDR realized this economic reality, and FDR had little choice but to disregard it as he had to finance a two front war. Secondly, no country or empire has remained prosperous without controlling its borders. This truth was as veritable during the times of the Roman Empire as it is today. America has done more than any country on earth to open its borders to people around the world seeking the opportunity for freedom and a better standard of living, but until recently, we always did so in a measured and strategic way. Immigrants were offered the opportunity to live in the US if they could bring with them a skill or knowledge that was useful to the country, and this policy had been a beneficial part of this country since its founding. Even our Constitution recognized the need to control immigration as it was included in the requirements a person must meet to become President. Immigration at the opening of the twentieth century helped make America a great country in numerous ways, but it was always performed in a controlled way that gave priority to those who could be productive members of our society and without causing our wage rates to plummet. MAGA seeks to return our immigration policy back to its lawful requirements and implement those policies which are designed to ensure the country benefits from the people to whom it is granting opportunity. The third focus of making America great again is on the role of our military in defending our freedom. It is the primary objective of the Federal government, but also one that Presidents from Washington to Eisenhower (and many in between) have warned must be restricted from becoming a behemoth agency unto itself. Regrettably those cautions have been disregarded during the last twenty five years and our country has suffered as a result. We spend twice as much as our nearest competitor, the Chinese, and support something like 800+ military bases around the world. Clearly the line between protecting our freedoms and being the global policeman has been indelibly blurred, and we must re-align our military priorities or the outcomes will be devastating. The fourth premise behind making America a great country again is our trade policy. As a relatively wealthy nation of consumers, America has been fortunate to be able to purchase the best products produced everywhere in the world. But regrettably, that financial wherewithal has been corrupted by government to injure American workers just so the masses can save a few dollars when they shop at WalMart. The damage done to working class towns and cities along the MidWestern rust belt and the Mississippi River Valley has been horrific, especially since government trade policies have done this tour own people. Tariffs to protect American jobs have been a staple of US trade policy, and their intent is to protect American jobs. If it means we have to pay slightly more to buy the items we want or need, so be it. Because the alternative of not producing what we need and having to re-train millions of displaced American workers is far more costly than what we gain from free trade. Nearly every President has recognized this reality, and for America to be great again it needs to revise its trade policy back to one characterized by the slogan “What America makes the world takes”. I can understand the dislike of Trump that people may have, he surely gives them ample reasons to dislike his public character. And I am sure there are millions of people who are jealous of the man, envious of his being handed a real estate portfolio of $40 million to play with and grow at a young age. But Presidential elections should not be reduced to popularity contests, especially when a country is in as serious trouble as this one. Issues matter, and prospective solutions should dictate the direction the country moves in for the next four years. The MAGA solutions have been tried and tested in some cases for as long as the country has existed, by Presidents of several political persuasions, and they have shown themselves to work best to advance the interests of the country. This is therefore not a matter of politics but of patriotism, and people should not conflate their distaste for Trump with what should be their overwhelming endorsement of the MAGA policies he advocates. For that’s what’s best for the country.
