My FIRST thought, when I learned some if the tanks had NO WATER, was, "If DeSantis were in charge, he would deploy water tanks from across the state -- and would have them here within HOURS." You and I both know this disaster would have either been prevented or contained if DESANTIS were in charge. Remember the bridge to Sanibel Island? I would bet my monthly salary Newsom would have taken at least A YEAR to rebuild that bridge, making sure it was environmentally sound, meeting with bureaucrats to discuss aesthetics, imposing state restrictions on construction teams, etc, etc. We LOVE DeSantis in CA. And I agree with you: The people of North Carolina suffered - and are still suffering - from forces beyond their control. The disastrous fires in CA have all been self-inflicted, caused by horrendous eco-nut policies banning logging, controlled burns, fire breaks; by a Public Utilities Commission that didn't hold the power companies feet to the fire regarding infrastructure maintenance and by worthless politicians who bias their activities toward woke agendas at the expense of the common good.
