My dad was so beyond strict with me! I hated it as a teenager. I thought he was so mean. Now I thank him with all my heart all the time for being so tough on me. I tell him how much I love him and how glad he was that way with me, because he told me I was naïve when I was a kid, and I truly was! PARENTS!!! STOP letting your children be on social media!! STOP posting them on social media! When they are adults, they can decide for themselves if they want to be on these platforms. Teach them about these platforms, teach them about the dark, and sinister things that can happen to young people on them, explain exactly why it is not a safe place for them to be when they are under age. Maybe there should be a law to prevent children under 16 from owning a smart phones. Period. If children need phones for texting and calling purposes get them a Flip phone. This is a way to control your child's on line wandering. If they need homework help stay in the room with them or check every 10 minutes what sites their on It's not that difficult to prevent the sale of smart phones to kids. Before the INTERNET we didn't have this problem with our kids. Kids need to learn the old fashioned way by Libraries articles Dictionaries Thesaris and so forth it's ridiculous what smart phones have done to the youth
