I live in florida, on the other side of the country, and I don't keep up what current events like I used to. As a general rule, I don't trust politicians or elected officials, so just because she's black and I'm black doesn't mean I trust her LOL when an elected official messes up, there's always people in the wings waiting to benefit from that person's fall. I'm sure this judge will in some way, but that doesn't absolve the mayor of any wrong she may or may not have done. I absolutely believe other officials are guilty of pay to play, but that doesn't absolve the mayor if she's guilty of it. It will all come to the light eventually. I don't stay in california, I stay in florida. My dad, who passed last year, was staying in California for the last 9 to 10 years. He was telling me what a dumpster fire California is, but I thought he was exaggerating. I was thinking about him last month, on the one year anniversary when he died, and somehow that got me to start looking up stories about California. That's how I stumbled on to all these stories about oakland, San francisco, as well as L.A. so I'm actually still learning about all this as I go, please forgive me for any future mistakes I may make an assessing the situation. I have lived in Oakland for over 25ers yrs. We have major issues here with that said I do not believe in “recalls”! Elections have consequences! We should only use recalls for ethical violations, or actual crimes. I do not know if the Mayor has committed any crimes but if she has she should go! An independent audit recommended that Mayor Thao fire the corrupt police chief because his record on crime was abysmal and he didn't know how to handle crooked cops. I grew up in Oakland. Have watched this entity since the begining and trying to figure how it took them so long to put this together the recall. Sad reality is the blue controlls the recalls in California and she will be taking Oakland down all the way. It is going bankrupt, can't pay bills and it is all part of a Duong plan to take it down to a level where they can purchase it.
