@@yahuahisking5483 A man who says what needs to be said. Real men know when they need to speak up. In the Military, not all men need to be beasts, but without those beasts, your military is useless. A military beast can also be good person with genuine feeling and empathy. Clay is one of those men that is alpha male and a nice man rolled into one.

I just turned 46 and I never served but I wanted to. Only problem is I'm not the most athletic person in the world and probably would not have made it. I mean of course unless the U.S Military is gonna be like them veterans in Starship Troopers and would find something dumb for me to do. You know? If I just HAD to join🤣

He’s absolutely correct about the brown rounds melting you down and remolding you into a soldier. When I joined the Army in 2006, I was skater and a stoner with long hair. When I graduated basic and went back home all my friends and family were in complete shock that I was the same person that left for Georgia 3 months prior. Clean cut, clear eyes, composed and professional.

USAF SAC/ACC Cold War-Gulf War vet, here. I would not under any circumstances recommend to any young person that they join any branch of today’s US military. Not under the diverse band of feckless civilian and military midwits currently running things. If anything, they’ve put the nail in the coffin of the notion that diversity is necessarily a strength. But they have proven that, regardless of skin tone, religion, or sex, only intelligence, ability, and competence should matter.

I feel the same. '82nd Airborne Paratrooper 2x a warrior. U.S.Army Veteran but I would not serve under WOKE DRAG QUEEN MILITARY. They discharged 6500 Military personnel who opposed the Covid Vaccine mandate which now didn't/couldn't stop transmission. Democrats refused to enlist them back but Republican Congress trying with payments.

A-Freakin-Men, Brother!! That is the whole purpose of recruit training. I have a natural birthday when my mother bore me, but I was born the day I earned the title of United States Marine! It has defined who I am in life. Every male in my family (except my gay-liberal brother whom still I love) has served this country since we immigrated here from Sicily over a hundred years ago. That is a lot of veterans. I served for fourteen years, through five deployments all over the world, and I have lost more friends that I care to mention. I have two sons and two daughters. I do not want any of them to join this current military. No way in hell. From this Marine grunt to the Hon. Mr. Higgins... Semper Fidelis, Brother!

I heard that Congressman Higgins is going to leave Congress. He hasn't given a date that he will be finished yet, but I sincerely wish he would reconsider. I feel that Congressman Higgins, if it were his desire I would like to see him in a leadership roll. Every time things get out of control he can get things back on track without making more even more chaos. That's something you don't see often and when you do see it- you need to sit back and observe and learn. I doubt he can be talked into changing his mind, I believe his wife is ill and I completely understand his choice to be closer to home with the one he loves. You will be missed Congressman Higgins.
