This is so frustrating. As a caregiver of an elderly parent, there are not enough resources to support family taking care of family. Many of us cannot afford, especially in this lousy economy, to quit our fulltime jobs or even work part-time. Yet, illegal immigrants who committed a crime by illegally coming to the U.S. are given FREE money, FREE food, FREE shelter, FREE education, FREE transportation, FREE healthcare, etc. Enough is enough!!

Not only can we barely afford caring for elderly parents, but if we do before we reach social security age, it dramatically cuts our future benefits. They average your last 5 years to determine your benefits. If you had to quit work (as I did) to care for an elderly parent, you are screwed on your own future benefits.
