Great video, I think all depends on everyone needs or situation. I think both phones are great, LG G7 is better but it cost more$$$, the V30 is cheaper now, bigger battery, no notch & more original.

very nice video , thank you for it. The G7 is better overall but has 2 BIG problems: you cannot switch to the wide angle camere when filming and the wide angle camere FOV was reduced from 120 degree to 107 which is a big turnoff for me because I really liked to take panoramic shots. Fish eye effect is not really visible on lg v30 or g6.

Front G7 easy. Though, it seems the YEP improved some. Rear G7 focused faster. Everything else, pretty even to me. Sometimes one looked better, sometimes the other. Audio dead even.

The g7 is better then the v30 however with that being said, seen I already own the v30 i have no reason to upgrade to the g7. I'll wait and see what lg has to offer with the v40.

That jelly effect on higher resolution video & 60fps is horrible on both until you come down to 1080p & 30fps. EIS is badly needed on both, while OIS probably isnt available on 4k? On the front facing camera its clear the extra pixels on the LG G7 makes a noticeable difference.

G7 looks overexposed in the parking lot. The color on the pavement looks natural on the v30. G7 taking on the yellow from the lights.

iam using lgv30 i am gonna tell this lgv30s camera sucks... also no updates... even no support from lg ie. in service perspective... i will never buy any lg product in my entire life....beacuse lg is taking money from me for fixing my fixing and replacing my lgv30's backglass

man that is a tough question. You have to do your homework and then just gut with your gut. I do believe the G7 is an improvement over the V30..thanks for watching

hi man could you elaborate on the audio? from 4:43 when you switch, the v30 audio sounds much nicer, better balanced... could it be that the G7 mic was much closer to your mouth thats why it sound harsher, and a bit more distorted? or it was equal for the two mics? thy!

V35 doesn't allow wide angle zoom to normal while using video too. V20 does allow switching while recording video.

I would say the G7 but the V30 is a really good phone- if you can get the V30 at a right price then go with the V30 but if not take get the G7

Owned both of the phones. Design and screen wise, it goes to v30. But for everything else, i prefer g7. Huge improvement in audio and camera.

I don't see any major difference between the two. Only real difference I notice is the V30 seems to be zoomed in and a little darker. But quality is roughly the same.

Wow both did well. The g7 popped with the greens while looking a little washed out on the v30 with the rear camera. But the front camera looked the same to me both where good and the v30 seems to have improved with the update before there use to be some artifacting in background images. Didn't notice it here great vid

Very useful vid mate, thanks. The rear camera on the G7 is clearly better, according to your tests. However, I find the stabilization on both TRULY disappointing: inefficient, and with plenty of artifacts. Video stabilization is one of the most important things to me, and I´d say it´s clearly worse than what you get with the S9, P20s, OP6 and XZ2 (shooting at 1080p, 30 fps). Bummer!
