I got this phone a month after release from Best Buy for $450. Had it for over 3yrs now and I still love it. Battery has to be charged 2 or 3 times a day, but it's quick. And it's begun to slow down. Ppl are amazed by the screen, brightness, sound quality and pictures. They think it's a brand new phone. Going to be hard to replace this phone to say the least. To bad LG discontinued the G series and then got out of the smartphone business all together. Closest thing I can compare this phone is a Samsung Galaxy S10/S10+.

I am still using g7+ thinq in june 2024....dont know why but addicted to this phone. Its still flawless. Using as my primary phone and iphone 14 promax as secondary 😂. Using it to capture sports action videos for my bike rides and videos are of next level.

A problem i am having with my LG G7 is that sometimes an app freezes. It mostly happens when i am texting. I adjusted the draw rates like you suggested (to .5x) but now after a week (just now) i put them back to 1x. If this fixes my issue i will let you all know, however try it yourself if you are having an issue and see if it solves the problem.

Ben Hammock Yeah it needs direct contact with a hard surface for the amplification, although you'll still get a decent sound as standard.

How is the screen at very low brightness, i.e. suitability for bedtime reading?

KJ Coco the screen gets really dark on lowest brightness. I just turned it down in a fairly lit room and could barely see it. The screen goes from stupidly bright at max to very dark. I'm an electrician and work outside a lot and don't have to turn the brightness up past 75% when outside to see the screen easily. Full brightness, so far, is overkill. I live in Arizona where we have bright sunny days 90% of the year. Hope that helps.

If you deactivate Google App the buton and all the google functionality won't botter you, but you won't have Google feed

LG UK confirmed that the G7+ and V30s won't be released in the UK. We are stuck with 64gb internal storage models only. This means I won't be buying a new LG phone until the price is reduced significantly.

kramshiron Yes, but I have almost as much as this with my 3 year old phone with an SD card. Its 2018, flagships should start at 128gb on board.

KJ Coco i see and agree with that. On the flip side, the phone does support high capacity sd cards. I always store photos and video on my sd card because you never know what can happen to your phone

KJ Coco I've had the phone since the first. No boot loop, no hitching, no slow down, no app crashing. It's been smooth as butter. My S8+ had issues with app crashes every other day. Not sure if it was app issues or touchwiz but it did get annoying. I'd switch between apps and the app I'd switch from would give me the "such and such app has stop responding" message quite a bit. Haven't had that happen once. I had the V20 and that phone was super buggy at the time. I am gladly surprised and happy with this phone so far. Not to say that the next update would causes issues or not. Right now I am 110% happy I got this phone. I am one of those phone buyers that watches numerous review videos and reads articles about each phone to weigh the pros and cons. I don't make tech purchases willy nilly and I am far from biased. Hell, I was very tempted to switch from my S8+ to the iphone X because that phone is a beast. I haven't owned an iPhone since the iphone 3GS. I've been android since 2008 and I was very tempted by the iphone x. It has everything I wanted except for the lack of a headphone jack and finger print sensor. So that's saying something.
