I haven't watched the video yet nor have I allowed myself to read any of the comments. I'm about to watch the video because I love your videos ❤️😘. But I wanted to say yes absolutely the worms ate the chicken simply because I've been feeding chicken to my worms for decades and posted my own video showing the raw pork chop being fed to the worms. If I thaw out meat and fail to cook it before it spoils, it goes into the worm bin not the garbage bag 😆

Gaetano that was amazing! My gut was telling me the salty rotisserie chicken would repel the worms. Goes to show there’s a lot to learn here about these things. I liked this vid a lot!

That is pretty incredible!! I wonder if all the stuff they do to the raw chicken to make sure it is clean etc has something to do with how slow it is going?? Very surprising results!! Awesome video!!🪱🪱🪱

Okay I'm back having watched the video and read some of the comments. *WORMS ARE AMAZING* I knew the rotisserie chicken would be gone and honestly I thought they would have put a pretty good dent into the raw chicken. But they probably had such a giant feast that they're taking time to wiggle their chubby little bodies over to it LOL I'm going to say it's going to take 2 to 3 weeks for the raw chicken to go only because it hasn't heated up yet and it's going to and it's got to heat and then cool before they're going to go crazy on it at least that's what I think from my experience but your system is entirely different than mine so the results may be different and I'm very excited to see the update on it. Thanks again for doing this series. So many people are so super sensitive about what to feed. Even when it comes to freezing food, some people won't feed food that hasn't been frozen first. The worms crawling around outside don't have anyone freezing their food first and they're still happy to eat it. 👍 I look forward to the next update. Awesome video my friend

Never thought I'd see the day where Gaetano, is lost for words 🤣 Interesting results, I wonder if they were more attracted to the sugars created by cooking it ? Just a guess Cheers Brother!! J&C 🌱🪱🌱

Im not surprised that the cooked one went first, for obvious reasons that proteins have been already broken down prior. But in 8 days, just like you said, no balls or anything means it mustve taken much sooner. Big wow factor there. However a testament to when you have a large system and with that many worms you can process even some really tough stuff ! Maybe do a second feeding with the same chicken to confirm 😅 or other cooked meats to see which decomposed quicker. Im so very curious about the castings, does it smell ? Castings derived from flesh seems something very new..

It was smelling a little but after I moved the bedding do not smell anymore

I've been vermicomposting 20 years. The idea that worms don't like meat is ridiculous- they absolutely destroy it - I just don't recommend it for indoor or tightly contained bins.
@northeastworms2 жыл бұрын
I absolutely agree with you and for that reason I am doing this series of forbidden foods, to show people that those are just urban legends

Yes, grinding is a good idea, the worms can eat faster

I don't understand what's so amazing. If you start with 500 worms, then to finish a whole chicken in one week would be amazing, but there are thousands of worms in that bin. The rotisserie chicken is already broken down.

The video want to show that there are NOT forbidden food, the emphasis is not on how fast the chicken is gone but about the fact that "The chicken is gone". This to show that is not true that worms are "Vegans" or "vegetarian". Thank you very much for stopping over :)
