What a great video showing first hand the increase in performance with the Force Turbo on the KRX. This is a first indeed! I hope that Kawasaki is watching!
@richr9092 жыл бұрын
Thanks for making this video. I knew the KRX was a slower side by side but damn it seems really slow out of the hole to me. But combined with that turbo kit it seems like it becomes the perfect machine. It excels in every other category. Fix the speed with a turbo and your all set for many years to come.

I would really like to c this up against a machine like a pro xp, turbo s, or can am x3. Because you could buy one of those machines for the same price if not cheaper for the price of a krx with a turbo kit. My other issue is what's this do to belt longevity or fuel consumption. The oem turbo stuff has all of this already sorted obviously very well. So it would b helpful to compare to the machines it's attempting to compete with.

I personally know Bryce Kendrick and the work he has done withe the "FORCE" Turbo Systems he has developed. However, I wonder if the TURBO on any machine would be a good thing for riding trails in the Mountains? Do they "SPOOL UP" at low RPM's to give you more Power/Torque, or do they require more RPM to give more boost?

Ever think that forced turbos would probably make more money and sell more turbos if the cost was more accommodating? $4,200 to add a few hp? Sure they are gonna sell some but wouldn’t they sell more at a realistic price point? Just one guy’s opinion that definitely isn’t gonna spend 4K for a few more ponies.

I'd like to see it run against a krx that's had some clutch work. Mine seems sluggish out of the hole. Was thinking about changing the weights.
@mddunlap032 жыл бұрын
Me to. I want to see one with the same basic mods the turbo got. A tune,clutch,exhaust. As a xp1000 owner I can say you gap stock machines with just a air filter, tune,exhaust, and clutch kit. Getting the clutch dialed in alone can make a 15-20% difference in whp through most of the curve. After doing a gear reduction in mine It was no faster than stock because cvt works off the load and it was holding it down to 6000 rpm vs 8250 where it makes peak power.

Crazy but if makes it sound like a turbo RZR. I guess since they’re both 1000cc parallel-twin engines, that makes sense.

So slap it up against a x3 120hp model I'd like to see that. I really appreciate them trying but without a intercooler I'm no where near interested. I learned that it takes a one of kind KRX to beat a Rmax.
@TexasPatriotOffRoadAndOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
That may be true on flat ground...but let’s race any KRX against an RMax in course with whoops, jumps and other high speed stuff and let’s see who comes out on top. The next thing is to put them through some serious rock crawling where articulation comes in...I’ve been there and seen first hand the difference between a KRX with 20” travel vs other rigs with no more than 15”. Both have their advantages and places. None are superior to another in every way.
@Rocket39Smoke143 жыл бұрын
@@TexasPatriotOffRoadAndOutdoors I agree. I was commenting on the side by side testing Jared has done with the Rmax vs the KRX. If the cops were chasing us, the KRX driver would be in jail. 😉
@TexasPatriotOffRoadAndOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
@@Rocket39Smoke14 yea, people get hung up on the KRX’s lack-luster straight like performance. That thing shines on its trail riding and rock crawling ability. My small group has had many different sport machines since 2013. The KRX is at the top of heap in overall performance and quality.
@Rocket39Smoke143 жыл бұрын
@@TexasPatriotOffRoadAndOutdoors I'm sure it is. Just not so sure a turbo will make the KRX a reliable trail/rock crawler machine as stock.
@TexasPatriotOffRoadAndOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
@@Rocket39Smoke14 I agree. The forced induction would be much safer in that engine from the factory with lower compression pistons and camshaft profiles suited for it. That is one of, if not the highest compression ratio sxs engine, which creates high pressure on its own. I think the 5 psi is safe but still lowers the overall reliability of the engine. Also, it won’t make it any better at trail riding and crawling...maybe just a bit more fun on the straights 😉
@toecutter15473 жыл бұрын
OK thats a faster turbo.. But really its not that much faster. Most people arent EVIL Kneevl. My new krx is such a blast 100% stock!!! Plus that turbo set up will void your warranty and is 4 THOUSAND $$$ and a real prone to PROBLEMS add on. NO THANKS
@TexasPatriotOffRoadAndOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Give Jared, BPS and Force Turbo credit for getting this out. No, it’s not for everyone but some are thrilled that it is now available. Will I get one...probably not but I’m happy it is an option.
@marka17123 жыл бұрын
As impressive as that is, I don’t plan on drag racing my krx especially on pavement. On muddy, rocky and loose trails this is probably almost useless. Also with 35s ppl are already breaking front diffs and front driveshafts. I’m sure some of those breakages are driver related but adding that much power and bigger tires has gotta be asking for premature failures.
@Supertramp013 жыл бұрын
What? You mean you're gonna use your machine for what it was made for...offroading? How dare you!!! These were built for street drags and bragging right...get with the program
@jeremypreston15933 жыл бұрын
After having two rzr 1000 turbos I won't own another one that is naturally aspirated even for offroad riding. They are much funner to ride all the way around. As for 35's I think you will be fine if you don't trash the things. Far to many people beat the poor machine to death and wonder why it doesn't last.
@Supertramp013 жыл бұрын
@@jeremypreston1593 I am not ragging on the turbo itself.. I am ragging on drag racing on the road...i Get the race is for comparison but I mean.. lets see some hill climbs, mud boggs, sand runs... trail riding. It amazes me how many people want to drag race other units... dont care how fast you are in a straight away.. turbo or not it comes down to drive skills in the real world. You can have the fastest sxs on the planet but if you cant drive it or your machine handle like shit or is constantly broke down...what are you proving? That your fast on a road?
