We are forced to leave Thailand. Our visa waiver is already up, and we aren't ready to leave Thailand yet so we have to renew it. The only cost effective way for use to do that right now is head for the border. You picked the right dish. Khoa Soi is a traditional dish in that area. Most Thai people order it when visiting Northern part of Thailand. It's my fav dish!

When you mentioned about your surprise in the previous video, I thought you were going to explore Myanmar for a few days. 3 hours from the border, there is an interesting city called "Kengtung". It's a city iin Myanmar, but most of them understand Thai. They are Tai people (not Thai). Thai people call them Tai Yai (Big Thai) and we call ourselves Thai noi (Small Thai). First, it's not "tuck-tuck", it's "took-took". Yeah, I know how it is often spelled in English, but the way you pronounce it says "Newbie", and sounds awful. Second, the reason you pay 3 baht to use the bathroom in public places is so that someone will keep it clean enough to use. It is not a government service, some poor Thai hoses it down, mops it, and cleans the fixtures, and gets paid from the proceeds, so you can do your thing in (relative) comfort and cleanliness. Imagine what a bus station toilet would look like without someone actively maintaining it: like public toilets in the US, ewwww.... And lastly, I completely agree with you about the disgusting way many backpackers represent Western countries. You guys should be awarded for maintaining personal hygiene, and being polite to the locals. Thailand is a beautiful country, and these idiots have turned Thailand into a human gap-year dumping ground, which the locals, and most importantly, the government, find appalling. Which is why it is so much hassle to stay long term legally - i.e., why you have to do visa runs. Good luck with your travels. I enjoyed your videos.
