And no I am not attacking Wizard, I enjoy his content and I understand his point of view and difficulty he encounters as mechanic all the time. Because that's bad practice for oil contamination. "Hold on," says the owner, "Five grand for a chalk mark? You're out of your mind." "Oh," says the engineer "Let me itemise that for you: one chalk mark: 10 cents. Haven’t watched or had the algo feed Wizard in a while. Good to see subs up to a million. And really nice to see Mrs. Wizard very comfortable on YT now!

Ugh, you only need to torque something once. It was good enough the first time. If you don't trust your equipment, buy better equipment or trust yourself more.

My hourly rate is $289 for the first hour and then $69.95 each additional quarter hour but I repair medical equipment. I run my own business and that’s what I charge. and if I have to travel more than 40 minutes to my call then at $100 trip charge on top of that. and I’m not even the most expensive guy in town. I’m certainly not the cheapest, but there are definitely companies that charge more than me with a lot less experience than I have.

I remember a few years ago, a magazine compared supercars rgd. their practicality and the Aventador won. It has a usable frunk, you could (as far as I remember) mount a child seat on the passenger seat (like you show), it could lift the chassie in order to reach a button for entering a parking garage and adapt to the a entrance way that has a steep angle. In the city it will shut off 6 cylinders in order to conserve fuel. Although I drive an EV, I think that this is basically the only supercar that I really like.

Pays $500 and mechanic cant even take the time to let the shit fully drain out before putting the plugs back in 😅
@c0r5e28 күн бұрын
Considering these were 8 oil drain plugs could be at least half a quart of old oil

1:20 "You can see it has _knock_ _off_ wheels." Made me laugh. Here in the U.K. _knock_ _off_ means fake or forgery. "Is that handbag real or a knock off?"

It means the same thing in the US so he accidentally insulted the customer.
@greatpyr324524 күн бұрын
Knock off wheels refers to it having one knock-off nut to remove the wheel versus multiple lug nuts.
@connor328824 күн бұрын
Well they aren't actually knock off wheels, he should have said centerlock wheels. Some old cars had knock off wheels, they were centerlock wheels using basically a big wing nut that was struck with a hammer to tighten/loosen.

When you hand tight the oil filter; you really have to hand tighten it. Not kinda hand tight. You don't want oil leaking out of the oil filter. I've had this happen a couple times. I personally check after oil service. If you are wondering where the service was done. At the Dealership.

I bought a used C300 Mercedes. It was in good shape and had nearly 40k miles on it. I absolutely loved the car. Then came the bills. My father said that I had champagne taste on a beer budget, and he was right. I had to scrap the car at 140k due to rust and electrical issues. I refused to believe all the advice of just how much these cars would cost over time. I would do it all over again. I loved the experience. I would only lease such a car now. Be wise.

Gauge cluster / clutch palate for an automatic transmission. Neat. Those car are sweet for sure, but at about 2000 $ per rotor order more, they are out of this world. For repairs when needed. It's definitely a sweet dream car for sure.
