Whether he resigned or he was fired, I fear it is to cover up for gross human rights violation. There must be accountability about the killings, the abductions, the brutality against innocent protesters and the hiring of the goons etc... Someone has the information and someone has to be held accountable. The issue with Kenya is that it is easy to believe that justice has been served when someone with a criminal record (corruption, killings, etc...) resigns or is fired without accountability and or restitution... I think this is a moment to change all of this.

I think our constitution has a significant problem, particularly regarding integrity and the role of the government. I strongly believe we should consider adopting elements from South Africa's constitution, which has several positive aspects. Specifically, I propose abolishing counties and returning to 8 provinces with governors who are accountable to the people, with a 5-year term limit. Reduce constituencies, abolish CDF, change the education system to 7 years primary, 2-year junior secondary KJSE, KCE, form six then 3-year University minimum just like after Independence in 1963.

What is the need of stealing elections and go through what Ruto is undergoing? I still believe Raila could have made the best president of the moment because he knew what was at steak. Ruto took over through shortcuts because upto now he doesn't understand what needs to be done. Unfortunately Kenya has a long way to go. The Country may need a council of elders from the 42 communities to come together and solve the wrongs that have been committed since 1963. Kenya has so many questions from these youthful population and unfortunately some of them have lived and studied in other countries where things work and they wonder why they are not workable in Kenya. There will be questions about how the ministries are run like LANDS, JUDICIARY, IMMIGRATION and others where officers purchase a house in KAREN worth Khs.250million in cash without questioning even the integrity of the bank manager where the money is withdrawn. In short Kenya has to correct the mess it has found itself in. And the mess begun back in 1963 where the country was run by brokers like SUDI. Anyway let us wait and see what happens.

Raila can work with any qualified professional without fear. Kenya needs healing before anything else. Kenya needs a leader who understands how to navigate through the IMF, WORLD BANK without fear. Kenya needs a leader who can answer Audit questions for the loans that did not even enter the country by past leadership. Yes Raila may have his weaknesses but he too has qualities to take the young nation through politically Like Moi who may not have been a darling of many but he navigated Kenya through hard times. That is what we call leadership. Good leaders the world over have weaknesses but a single strength in leadership do bring great ideas that shape the world. My take.
