I mentioned Inevitable conflict in other video because it's actually my favourite track from genshin + the enkaomiya battle themes Undersea Encounters and Combat Beneath the Waves. They are SO good and I never hear them because I don't have any reason to explore the Chasm nor Enkanomiya anymore TT

Don't know if you'll want to do a part 3, but if you do please use some of enkanomiya and the chasm's music! I know they didn't quite fit into the way you organized this video because they aren't any of the main nations, but they have some fantastic pieces. Inevitable conflict is my personal favorite of them, but combat beneath the waves and even no turning back which is a remix of one of the first domain songs in the game might be fun for Dean to listen to since he's started playing and might recognize it. Thanks for making these videos they're so chill and your knowledge and passion for music makes them stand out from other channels :D

I'd suggest Hope or Nostalgia from Enkanomiya. I generally don't like the battle music there nearly as much as any other region but the BGM is fantastic. And Chasm is a masterpiece. Inevitable Conflict (and the non-battle version Stories of Remote Antiquity), Seething Animosity, and Irresistible Force & Tremor of Menace (can't really pick one) are my top 3 Chasm pieces/groups of pieces

"you could dance to it" for Fontaine's main theme is quite correct especially when a character beautifully concucted her last dance on a version of this song. Overall musically speaking Fontaine is the best music for me cuz the music was so so well utilized in the storyline. I can re-feel all the emotions I felt, also the theme playing in the opera with the trials going. The story is so dark and mysterious, it's a whole ass spectacle, a performance (like, literally it is), and the music gives that feel. One of my favorite stories from any piece of media is the one Fontaine story and the music compliments it. (And no I'm not saying this cuz I'm french. I'm also Egyptian so yes I love Sumeru desert but still) Still vive la France and tahia masr

Across Dimming Asterisms is actually super super cool musically, being really accurate to how middle Eastern music is composed, with the scale (maqam) being formulated like they do there, and the time signatures definitely not lining up with modern western music! It's one of my favorite songs in the game, I wish it got more attention

Ok I mostly agree about mondstat's music but rite of battle slaps, especially towards the end. These videos are fun as heck, I also like trying to get my friends into genshin music because hoyo is just a music company funded by gacha lol Not mad about the sumeru forest music being not liked, just disappointed... jk jk it's a matter of personal taste, a lot of the instrumentation is more familiar which makes my brain happy but that specific desert theme is honestly one of the best. Also fontaine and the 1-2-3 with the lower strings doing 2-3 gives me so much orchestra ptsd, fontaine is so waltzy. I can't tell if I like it or it's the Stockholm talking If your friend isn't sick of this, I say next round is something from enkanomiya, the chasm, and some other inazuma island (idk why they went and gave every island its own set of songs, how'd they get the time-). You should definitely show him the chasm ost, mainly the one that plays in the nail area, and how it transitions from exploration to battle music! also, the lettuce chicken boss is the only one that has a particular song and its so good too! Some of my fav songs are Desert Lullaby, Pensees tranquilles (a song from the recent summer area), Dvalins nest songs , midday prospects (this one was played during a cutscene during the first updates of the game and it made me so emotional and still does to this day), and well, the chasm underground songs like impending danger or inevitable conflict! I had fun watching!

If you do another video pls consider Jolts in the Forest, God-Devouring Mania and Saltatio Favilae for mini/weekly-boss themes! Some other great battle themes are Inevitable Conflict, Irresistable Force, and Thunderings of the Merciless! Gilded Runner and Where Dreams Putrify are a little calmer but I think they're interesting! All of the titular region themes are so good, Idk if Mondstadt has one, but 'Liyue', 'Inazuma' and 'Sumeru' are all super good along with 'Fontaine' of course.

Second phase of Andrius BGM is heavily inspired by Mozart's Lacrimosa. It's my favorite Mondstadt track. My favorite thing about music in Genshin in general is how in Chasm all background tracks have two versions, a peaceful one and a battle one and when you get into battle, the peaceful BGM seamlessly transitions into the battle one and then back when the battle ends. It's the same tracks, just more epic when in battle.

When I clicked on the video I anticipated another basic react video between 2 friends where it's just a bunch of "music good, insert silly comment here", what I did not anticipate were insightful comments from someone who clearly knows what they're talking about yet that is what it is! glad to see a reaction of rage beneath the mountains, I've always wanted to see a reaction on that considering how much it judt gets better with each section. in general, liyue music is just unmatched in my opinion. and I'm also glad that this oen featured less demos and more stuff from the game. don't get me wrong, demo music is great, but I feel like too much of the last video was stuff you never actually hear in the game. that said, the amount of inazuma music heard was pretty underwhelming. both times actually, you only did one in both videos. of course for inazuma there's the usual recommendations, the area main theme, battle themes, boss themes, demo themes... but a really good one I'd recommend giving a listen is sorrows of strays. it's an ambient theme, but it's so good. it's use of the flute is just so gorgeous. also, hearing some enkanomiya stuff would be great. obviously the battle themes are amazing, but a great ambient track is at dawn and dusk. of course, you don't *need* to include ambient tracks in a potential third video... but I recommend atleast listening to them. I heard some of these themes in the game once, and I HAD to listen to them again. it was painful trying to find the ones I liked, but I did it.

idk if youll do a part 3 but i think one of the most underrated themes (probably bc youll only ever hear it once ingame :')) is Before the Light Fades, the marana world quest boss theme! idk if its as exciting as the other themes but if you guys enjoy the more drum n bass/dubstep/break stuff (im bad w music terms sry) then maybe youll like this one?

So, on your call for Mondstadt songs, some of my favorites are slower and more atmospheric. "Midday Prospects" is probably my favorite, with "A New Day With Hope" being a close second. Also, "Tender Strength" is cheesy but well done. Also, if I were to throw a random couple of recommendations at you, I would say "Maidens of Sanctity" from Sumeru and "Throughout the Flow of Years" from Fontaine. If you're curious about specific credits, the site VGMDB has all of the credits listed for all of HoYo-MiX's albums. They're VERY thorough. And lastly, though it's probably a bit early to look at the concerts, that may be something to keep in mind for the future. (I'm a bit salty about how they seem to be getting shorter every year and yet keep playing the older tracks because I'd really like to hear the newer music played at least once rather than the older music for the upteenth time, but I digress) The upcoming concert on the 22nd might be one to eye as its short and seems to be focusing on well-known pieces and is being presented in a very visually distinct way. Though the first concert (2021) focuses entirely on early game music, and thus is more relatable to a newer player, it's also very, VERY dense and is thus long. The 2022 concert is a bit shorter and covers the spectrum more widely, and also has some BANGER covers. I've been enjoying the journey you've been taking with these, and yes, as someone else said, the background in music is a huge plus. You can appreciate them more for what they are and also have greater insight into the different aspects that comprise them. I look forward to whatever you continue to make!

I personally fell in love with 2 particular OSTs, one actually being from Mondstadt; another one is from Sumeru. The one from Mondstadt is called "A New Day With Hope" and it reminds me a lot of "C418 - Sweden" vibe wise. Genshin is not that old, but the moment I hear that song I'm immediately struck with an immense amount of nostalgia and good memories. I might prefer it over the song from Minecraft actually. It's just that good for me. And another one is called "For Riddles, for Wonders", but you should be familiar with it already I think.

The Genshin Fandom Wiki credits Qian Ding as the composer of Lamentations et Triomphe. In terms of Mondstadt music, I think people overlook it because it's by far the most familiar in style to anyone with even a passing knowledge of classical music. The uncharitable would describe it as 'safe', yet some of my favourite music in Genshin is from Monstadt, in particular 'Midday Prospects' and 'The Edge of the Prairie'.

If you’ll do another part of this, some of my favorites are Thoughts and Prayers and Golden Crescent from Sumeru! A good 4-star theme is Thoma’s Devotion of the Keeper. As someone else mentioned, Inevitable Conflict from the Chasm is also really good.

Three underrated themes that i would highly recommend: The outlander who caught the wind (the first genshin trailer the me, forgotten in time) Treasury from the Northland (the Northern Bank theme, forgotten since we only are forced to go there like 3 times during the archon quest, but truly a banger that captures the grandiosity of the Fatui and Liyue's external politics) Combat beneath the waves (sadly forgotten since no one really cares about Enkanomiya anymore, but when it dropped it was considered an absolute banger alongside the rest of Enkanomiya OST, if you think "sometimes less is better" you should definitely hear this one)

Wrathful streaming gold is another amazing desert battle theme! The end is so exciting to listen to Whirling of leaves and petals is also really good (also Sumeru) No Turning Back is the battle theme in Enkanomiya for the bathysmal Vishaps but it’s a remix of Mondstadt’s beats of water drops PLEASE LISTEN TO INEVITABLE CONFLICT AND STORIES OF REMOTE ANTIQUITY

My favourite thing about the port ormos theme is cause its so authentic and me me feel so at home as someone from india, like kost of the other rain forest themes use modren instruments along with the traditional but port ormos theme i could feel the indian barzars in it

Mondstadt eye catching music (some are very short): Dawn Winery Theme, Caelestinum Finale Termini, A Sweet Smile, Angel's Share, An Interesting Labour, Cold Night, Tender Strength, Photon of Fluctuation (especially this one, because many battle/demo/event tracks of Genshin are variations of Photon)

From monstand "A Storm, A Spire, and A Sanctum" is the best one imo. Some other bangers i would suggest: -No Turning Back (enkanomiya battle theme #3) -Halcyon Times (sumeru tabern) -Silent Starry Night (sumeru city at night i think) -Wind of Tranquility (Night) (Aaru Village, sumeru) -Sigh of an Old Friend (inazuma's narukami shrine) -Symposion of Spectacle (fontaine's cafeteria)
