i'm obviously saying this in the best way possible, but this video felt so meta. like, you're talking about not stressing out over planning and the video itself felt... organic and natural. we love you for how much effort you put into editing of course, but this felt really raw and i think we saw a different side of you. seriously i felt so much peace with this, like it came naturally to you too.

This is relatable to everyone at any age. I know that I’ve burnt out several times, and this last time has taken me years to recover from. Life has a way of reminding you that if you don’t slow down, it will force you to. Being someone who suffers from anxiety as well, my mind never stops. It’s constantly going 24/7 and I never get a break. Extremely relatable video and I’m glad you got some time away from things and enjoyed living in the moment. I’m going to guess this was Florida since I don’t think they have palm trees in NYC.

This hit so close to home! I had horrible anxiety and ocd for a lot of this year until recently when I realized that almost everything that happens to me is out of my control, and that trying to control things or circumstances or people is assuming a burden that I actually am not able to bear. Learning to focus on my responses to what happens to me instead has been incredibly helpful. As a Christian there is an added element of spiritual peace as I’ve come to trust that God is in control and has good plans for me. I don’t know if you’re religious at all, but I hope you’ll experience the same relief that I have from your journey of slowing down. Love the vlogs! ❤

What you said about Anxiety is spot on. It robs us of being present and enjoying the precious moment. I just turned 33 last week, and I am just now getting relief from the anxiety that robbed my of my entire 20s. I can't tell you how refreshing it is to be here. Here's a reminder for you that you are right where you're supposed to be. Do whatever you can to find relief. God is truly the best artist and author. Being able to enjoy each day is so significant. I'm glad that you unplugged for a moment to sit back and enjoy it. Here's to being present and enjoying each moment 🥂Enjoy your week Hannah and enjoy your life.

When things are good, basic kind of good, my brain surprises me by how randomly it picks something to worry about. Seeing someone else having the same mental journey is so relieving; I feel less alone in this. When you reflect and verbalize these ambiguous struggles, it is just so comforting and enables me to articulate my own. Thank you.

wow that really landed for me.. thanks for putting your thoughts out, even when it made more sense for you in your head than when saying it out loud, I totally got what you meant, which actually made me realize to really work on that as well... I never thought that being (single and) in your early 20s would be as much responsibility than it actually is. I also think that many of our generation in general are such overthinkers of everything and forget, like you say, to enjoy the moments we have. I haven't yet figured out how to shift those patterns in my head, but your speech definitely helped to become aware of it, so thank you and we're in this together!

This video helped me a lot! I graduated from college in 2017, and there are still times whenever I feel anxious about the unstructured nature of the post-grad world/real world. I, too, sit there and try to plan out my entire day and then I tend to beat myself up if it didn’t go exactly as I planned. This was a great reminder for me to stop worrying so much about the future, and to just try to live more in the moment, enjoy the now, and to be more spontaneous; and to let myself know it’s okay to do so. I definitely needed this right now.

I use your videos every week to slow down, because they are basically the only once I don't watch speed up, and it's very helpful to have kind of a routine. The vibe all your videos have is just very calming and helps me to relax and think about what i want to do to make myself feel productive, but more in a self-care way. being a person with anxiety and strictly telling myself to do things in a set routine for myself to keep me sane, it comes these moments where i'm in your exact position hannah, where i question why not just be chill and let myself relax for a moment. but it becomes difficult when you step foot out of that boarder of a schedule that you've built because it seems like doing anything different is strange or not okay. mental health is the biggest way we progress through the day. never ending thoughts of different topics, yet some that make us feel okay knowing everything is going according to plan. i've recently started to add small task to better myself into not being so stuck up for the better of knowing i still have a life to live, being young isn't forever. so those thoughts of time not stopping and it just breezing past me makes me reconsider a lot even if it goes against my anxiety and such it helps me know i'm not going to be in this same space forever. it's possible to change it, so i have to be the change now before i'm so far into my brain that i live everything i think of into my own reality when i can make it something better. i'm really proud of you hannah for taking the time to post this video, and taking a moment to yourself to realize what you need. lots of love! ♡♡

As per usual, I loved this vlog. It felt really peaceful and a lot of what you said resonated with me. What you said about anxiety totally makes sense and it's actually something I've talked about with my therapist and her answer is constantly in my mind : "worrying about what could happen means that if the worse case scenario happens, you will have suffered twice, instead of once. And if nothing goes wrong, you will have ruined precious time worrying for no reason". Being a control freak too, this was life-changing for me to hear. Something else that has been helpful and took years for me to really apply is to change how I react because often times, changing my perspective equals accepting the change of plans / lack of control / going with the flow equals a happy quiet mind. Thank you for the constant inspiration and creativity Hannah ❤

Your point about not being able to articulate what you have in your head is so relatable. I struggle with that all the time. I love writing because it gives me time to be able to say exactly what I have in my brain. When I speak, I feel so dumb because I can never get to my actual meaning, at least not in a concise way. When I write, I feel like my true self gets to come out. Give me a Canvas discussion post over an in-class discussion any day. 😄

This was a thousand percent what I needed today. Love that the style forces the viewers to slow down too. More of this pls! And your Balcony Thoughts made perfect sense. I feel like that may be an anxiety thing too? I am always rambling and saying, "Did that make sense?" to people and then they're ALWAYS like, "It did, and you're not rambling." So... anxiety? Idk. P.S. This video made me miss the east coast and the DE/MD beaches which is hard to do, so congrats. I wonder if my mom has ever done that nature/boat tour; I bet she'd love it.

I really love what you shared. I also find myself worrying about things so far in the future that I forget to enjoy the fleeting moments of right now. Thank you for this reminder!!

hannah, I love this for you that you are taking out time to get to know yourself and journey in life. I believe you said something in the lines of taking out time to enjoy life than just really living life to make it by.. I felt that and so that's something I have been incorporating in my day.. I wish you much luck and self love and growth as you continue this journey & a Bible Scripture that goes with this, Matthew 6:34🌱
