Great video! Normally to deal with revolts I give counts in the rebelion as vassals to a duke that supports me, or I create a duchy to do that. If they are not your direct vassals, they wont rebel against you.

at 17:00 what does the number at the bottom right of all of your artifacts represent? It starts at 6 then they all drop to 5 when you change a piece, then 4 for same reason, then 3 before you close out your inventory. Edit: Apparently that number represents how many new artifacts you have that you haven't looked at.

Laith army consist of 700 Pikemen, 700 bowmen, 600 Armored Footmen, 700 crossbowmen, 350 armored horsemen as combatant. He is also Italian, having formation fighting expert he gain extra 15% counter efficiency. He has 805 Lightcav CP, 1610Heavycav CP, 805 camelcav CP, 805 elephant CP, 805 skirmisher CP, 690 spearmen CP, 805 heavyInf CP, 402.5 archerCav cp, 402.5 archer CP. Of all above, enemy didn't have cavalry for the first fight, skirmisher for either fight, making his pikemen and bowmen inefficient. In the first fight enemy Norse army has around 4k MMA, let's assume it's 1k for each regiment they've brought 1k Varangian Veteran, 1k Huscarls, 1k bowmen, 1k Bondi Norse has 2k spear CP, 2k archer CP, 1K heavycav CP, 1k skirm CP, 1k lightcav CP. With above assumption, Laith's pikemen, bowmen, crossbowmen, armored horsemen are ALL fully countered, reducing their dmg output by 90%, only armored footmen is doing 100% dmg. Norse 2k heavy inf face 0.8k CP, reducing dmg by about 18%, 1k bowmen face 402.5 cp, reducing dmg by about 18%, 1k bondi facing 690 CP, reducing dmg by about 31%. What truly won the first fight was his commander being 28 adv against 12 adv of enemy, the Norse lord really fumbled the ball by ordering f2 all charge.

48:57 Laith's ally joined his fight very quickly, while enemy's reinforment only showed up after the first fight's defeat, while also being split into 3 groups feeding into fire. Thus despite being inferior in quality, Laith made an extremly good call to attack that first Norse army, which consists of 4k strong MMA with very good counters, absorbed the damage with levy. Then his ally brings in more levies to tank, finishing up trash HRE troop no problem.

for anyone curious, Santiago is a holy site because the legend says that saint James' body was lost at sea or something and washed up in the city. There is still to this day a Cathedral there that is supposed to contain Saint James' relics, it became a famous pilgrimage site in the west, interesting enough Santiago is a Galician evolution of "Sanctus Iacobos" (Saint James in vulgar latin).

probably be a caliphate frankly the empire title here is just an alternate name of Italia, like for example if an english cultured king makes the kingdom title of zaphorisdia (or however you spell the kingdom crimea is apart of in ck3) it will be called 'new england'. one of the various, interesting things that can happen. (another one is if a muslim nation gets the holy roman empire as their titles. it will be called the 'Halal Roman Empire'.
