Thanks very much the picture instrutions that came with my kit show the cylinder mounted backwards l will turn it around and see if it works better.

im wondering if you really even need the bar that links the left and right stubs..when the steering box already links them ???

Thats a good point and had me wondering the same for a while. But if you didn't have the link under the engine and you left the original link from the steering box on the right hand side, then you would.only have power steering on the left wheel, the right wheel would have no assistance.

@@singtracks The original steering arm that remains on the left take no real force after the conversion is added. The additional hydraulic ram on the left side attaches to a point on the bell housing. When you turn the steering wheel the original steering arm only operates a hydraulic valve on the end of the ram. The force that the ram now exerts on the front wheel pushed back against the hard mount of the bell housing and not on the original steering arm. I am trying to save you a lot of work here, I can assure you that to have both sides powered by the ram yoy will need the under engine link bar

In theory the cylinder itself would work on the other side of the tractor. The connection from the steering box to the cylinder would work but that's where the good news ends. The bracket from the cylinder to the tractor body would not work, the connection from the cylinder to the steering upright would also not work and I'm not sure about the hydraulic hose connections. I imagine it could be made to work on thebRHS but you would be looking at making quite a few parts. The most complex part to make would be the steering arm to the wheel upright as I imagine this is a forged part.

@@lozl ich habe es ein- und wieder ausgebaut und schmiere die Vorderachse lieber 3xöfters bevor ich auf die hervorragende Wendigkeit meines 3600 (mit Frontlader) verzichte!😉💪

@@reinerspachmuller4334 that's fair enough, if it's a loader maneuvering around lots then it makes sense having more steering angle. I would have liked to have got hold of an original Ford power steering set up, but they are rare and expensive

It was from NC tractors in Northern Ireland.
