Great video. I used your techniques to replace the pump only on the pump assembly and put my truck co back on the road. The box on my truck is rusted out, so I ended up cutting an access opening to remove the pump assembly. Good job on the video and explanation to disassemble the pump and sending unit. Absolutely impressive. I just wish i had the weather . 😩. North jersey is pretty cold 🥶. But you have me thinking sliding the bed back , instead of dropping the whole tank ...just seen another video , and he dropped the tank . Watching you do it , seem much more sense by sliding the bed back . Thank you for making this video , very well explained 👏

You can put a couple 4x4 posts between the bed and the frame and then slide the bed! That's if you don't have 4 guys to lift it!

Just cut a panel out from the bed of the truck over the fuel pump - a lot easier than removing the tank or moving the bed as shown

Used a Delphi FEO485 for a direct fit replacement. No pigtail needed (CFE0485)

if your bed bolts are not that crusty then unbolt then ues a floor jack with a 2x4 to tip bed up to pull pump one man job be careful cause when you jack it up it will slide tword the passenger side till the wheel well hits tire then your all set

Because some models don't have the second pump, just a fuel level sending unit in the tank. And the secondary pump (The Primary on some trucks) is the main. I think it depends on your year of 6.0

My 7.3 is electric on frame rail. 6.0 should be same. Worked on 05 6.0 was on frame rail with filter cartridge more forward of my 7.3 pump. Never seen this unless a gasser.

Why wouldn't you pressure wash and sanitize the area before opening up the tank to all the dirt? Not very smart but good job other wise

Fuel filter? Around here voids the warranty on the fuel pump especially if you're just buying the motor and not the whole assembly little hint especially when returning a faulty motor make sure you have your receipt or it's on record on the computer and bring in that old fuel filter trust me and your ID don't forget your ID and the bag on the motor I didn't see a new bag sir? When you realize it's not your fuel pump refer to replacing the relay some idiot at Ford put a non-serviceable relay within the fuse block it can be quite frustrating especially when you're looking for a fuel pump driver and your f250 2004 doesn't have a fuel pump driver and all the schematics they give you are different fuse boxes 400,000 miles three fuel pumps one guy never pulled the bed up do it the old fashioned way yes you might get a little gas on you but it's a better way of cleaning the inside of your tank and you got to love brittle plastic thank you Ford oh thank you where is this world going cheap plastic parts oh well happy trucking

Oh I forgot when playing Michelangelo always wear safety goggles a little bit of that grit in your eyeball will cost you about three times the price of that motor at the eye doctor just a little heads up I mean eyes up LOL
