Always nice being able to talk to someone who's done the work before. Let's you know what the best way to do it. Take care and hope the wife's doing great👍‼️🙏

My wife had the worst day so far that she's had since she's been home, some pain in her arm and her shoulder we put the heating pad on it, she said that helped. Yes being able to talk to a shop mechanic who has made their living doing this kind of work and one who has actually done this exact job gave me some inside knowledge and the confidence to know that I can do this. Couple that with one of my favorite scriptures stating "Ican do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me", and all I need now is just the time to be out there doing it. Mark thank you very much for being here.

I keep running things around in my mind about how to remove that plate and then put that plate back on because of the stupid little pipe with its o rings. I'll come up with something. Thanks for being here watching.

It is so scary going into something you have never done before, but sounds like you have had good people help you get a game plan! Good luck, be safe my friend, can wait to see it fixed! Thank you for bringing us along!

I guess it was pretty obvious when I was pounding on it with the rubber mallet that I didn't really have a clue how that thing came apart. I'm just glad I didn't break it. Thanks for being here watching.

@@SoybeanFarmer3300 Trial by fire, words I live by. We never know until we try, if at first we don't succeed then back up and replan. You did exactly that, and seems to have worked out perfectly to now know exactly what you need to do. Thank you sir, can't wait to see more. I need to reseal the injection pump driver cover on the 1086...but in the exact boat you were, no clue. But gonna give it a shot one day soon! Thank you sir

I had that plate off my Fordson Super Dexta several years ago. I took as much off as I could to lighten up the part. The seat, the three points arms, and the other hydraulic controls. It wasn't that bad. My memory is not worrying about bending that little pipe but it dropping down into the oil in the bottom and having to find it. I had to make the gaskets for everything because they are no longer available. There are also some filters inside that I replace at the same time. Not sure on your 4000 but the 2000 it setup the same as the Super Dexta. Good luck.

Tim thank you very much for the encouragement you just gave me. Yeah I plan to strip it down to reduce the weight and make it more maneuverable. Thanks for being here watching and sharing your thoughts.

Yes they are and I had just bought this set to replace the crappy flimsy ones I got at Harbor Freight years ago. This set has much nicer handles on them, they are a lot stronger too. Andy thanks for watching.

Never done it on a 4000, but have done it on a couple Fergusons over the years...just be patient with it and be dang sure if you see anything wrong to fix it while you're in there. I've had to take too many back off cause "I'm sure it'll hold".
@SoybeanFarmer33003 жыл бұрын
I hate that feeling of uncertainty when I am claiming something might hold when I've got that feeling telling me otherwise. Twice a year with spraying and planting it's extremely important this little tractor go out on the job site and complete the job within the narrow window of time allotted so I simply cannot tolerate riding on it with the mental distraction of "I sure hope it holds"..... thanks for watching.
@cesmith45663 жыл бұрын
Do the post on your canopy set on the axle? You could use a comealong attached to some cross braces to lift the top cover. A least enough to give you a helping hand!
@SoybeanFarmer33003 жыл бұрын
CE, I got this image of something in my mind for lifting that plate and when you see it later on the video I will make, I bet you're going to laugh out loud. But if it works it will enable me to get the job done. I looked at buying an engine lift and the cheapest one I can find is $149, and I just don't want to buy something that's going to be used once and then sit over in the corner of my shop taking up limited space.

Do you or Scott have a way to pick up that cover plate with a come a long or chain fall, hooked to a strong beam in the work shop or a fence stretcher to help you, I don't think you two want to pick it up by hand but then you just might.
@SoybeanFarmer33003 жыл бұрын
Frank the canopy on the tractor poses an interesting obstacle. What I have in mind doing will probably give you one heck of a good laugh when you see it but if it works I won't have to go and buy anything which is always my objective to minimize expenditures, actually it's a requirement due to the limitations of the budget. Now I just have to find the time put it all together and make it happen.🧰⛓🗜🪜🤔

Hey notice u had one of them Bauer power tools is it the 3/8 impact and if so had u ever had problems with them I’ve been looking at them for a while
@SoybeanFarmer33003 жыл бұрын
I've had the impact wrench all of three months now and yes it's a 3/8 inch Drive. Right now the performance is on par with everything I've asked it to do. Questions still out are, how long will it last? How long will the battery hold up? And will the company go out of business causing batteries to become extinct? These are the questions a friend of mine badgered me about when I didn't buy his beloved overpriced made in China Milwaukee with its extensive track record and longevity of the company being around. I have owned a good number of made in America AC powered Milwaukee Tools and never found fault with them. I bought the Bauer 1/2 inch cordless drill about 7 months ago and I've been rather impressed with it.

Didn’t know you still drove the little red truck. You use it much now? Thought you said it had high miles. Thx
@SoybeanFarmer33003 жыл бұрын
That little truck is my daily driver, my primary means of transportation. Truck has had solid maintenance whatever it needed it got. To me high mileage only means there's been a lot of oil changes and a heck of a number of new tires. Got just under 470,000 on it now. 1986 year model.

Some seemingly simple jobs are made so difficult, I think there's a design guy sat in a back office changing plans and laughing to himself for years to come. I'm amazed that I have never seen you loose you cool, me I get to a point and the wrench goes flying. Then I have something else to fix!!!!! Stay safe you all.

Yeah there's a lot of things that I run into on this planet after I looked at them I thought they could have been designed a lot better and made a lot more simple to be serviced but we got what we got so we find our way down the path that leads to the solution. When I get totally frustrated with some things I Take a deep breath and then call on Jesus. He has never left me without a way of Escape. Thanks for watching commenting and supporting the channel.🙂☕

Brad my friend, you opened up a whole new world for me when you turned me on to that website leading me to that dealer down in Rocky Mount. Yeah it's a 42-mile drive but it's cheaper than the shipping charges they throw out at people these days especially since that little 4Runner gets 28 miles to the gallon. I really like hearing you're going to plant some beans next year because I got a feeling I'm going to get a ride in your combine🙂👍 thanks for your help Brad.

i am a twin, i have a twin brother, we are hog farmers and export female Hampshire wienner pigglets to a few usa states. we farm in Alberta.Canada, western parts or above the state of montana. in may 2020 our family got the covid virus from a trucker who hauled our larger market size pigs, in may we have over 17,000 hogs. in june we first buried our mom, at just 17 years old both of us buried, mom then dad then great grand mom and great grand dad. then in September covid took uncle john and our family was given his family. 4 days after we turned 18 we became legal guardings of a 8 year old girl and a 10 year old boy both our cousins, now we farm alone without parents.

I cannot even begin to imagine that much loss in such a short period of time. The only way I could have gotten through that would have been to ask Jesus Christ my Lord and savior to comfort me and guide me forward 🙏. I hope and pray you will feel the love of God upon you as you continue forward through your journey in this life.
