this is exactly what happened to me once, stopped at a red light, then tried to accel but no response. I had to coast to the side of the road, shut it off then restart, never happened again. Got a scangauge 2 right after this. thanks for the great informative vids.

My high pressure pump was damage.....i install the new one and fix it up......i just sold the truck ...6.0 is good until start the problems .....too many sensors its over engineered....now im Free

I had no code but idle surged very badly. Even felt like someone rear ended me at a stoplight. I changed the ICP sensor and it smoothed right out. RIP Ron.

Ok... so I need to replace the large aftermarket exhaust with the stock one and a stock catalytic converters and muffler and see if that helps. Then the ICP and IPR sensor and the turbo and the High Pressure Oil Pump.

Please help!! Hi Ron. I love and enjoy all of ur videos. They have helped out a lot. Well on one of my power strokes, my 03 6.0 I had the lpop went out and have fine peices of alum threw out the oil system. So bad the spool valves in injectors keep Geting stuck. Is there any way to contact u personally for some quick advice on the truck. Thank you Lyle

The OBDwiz tool did not give me any codes, the RPM are at 690 and jumps every so often? could it be a clogged catalytic converter or the fuel injectors dirty? it doesn't accelerate like it should, my friend replaced the transmission, it wasn't that, no mechanic around Alexandria , LA wants to fool with the truck, we think it could be just dirty inside, the Turbo was replaced (rebuilt), the RPM like I said is between 690 and 700, that's too low . when shift gears it just wont move or is not getting fuel? stuck on this issue for a month now. my 6.0 had a bad icp sensor and was rough idling, I fixed that but now when I went to drive it the throttle isn't working properly. I press the throttle and there isn't any power going to the engine which leaves it just idling, what's wrong?

What happened in my case was that a couple of the fuel injectors was bad which caused the lag in power and it ran fine after. In your case I'm thinking it's a sensor because ford's are notorious for having lots of sensors and sometimes a bad sensor can cause your truck to run improperly. My best advice to you is take it to a professional or browse the Internet some more because I am not a professional. But maybe start with seeing if your starter is any good or if the batteries are still good, glow plugs as well

hello Ron my friend has a 2005 ford f350 6.0 powerstroke diesel truck and he replaced the fuel injector and now his scaner has a code for low oil pressure set by the icp sensor but the truck runs starts and drives fine what should he look for in this problem.

Wow, for all the comments I am reading, it seems to me like this truck model is just a piece of crap. we took it to several places, none of them wants to touch it? why?, my friend even replaced the Transmission, But the problem was not that , it's exactrly as what you said, but it is not giving us any codes? so we think it must be something dirty or clogged between the exhaust and/or the injectors? never heard that a motor have to have a turbo to run correctly? how about turbo farting while under load going up hill light APP position and while at 10-20psi the turbo starts to release precious air pressure causing the truck to buck? until you back off the throttle just enough to make it down shift [or unlock the TC] and then the truck runs fine again until the TC locks up then count to 5 and the turbo starts to relase the boost again.? Thanks in advance if you could point me in a direction. the dealer gave me a run around saying my tire size is doing it to the truck needs to be geared to the turbo is bad to my exhaust is modified and so on. I did regear it to 4:30's for my 37" tires and ive tried tuning it and running stock does it no matter what.

Hey there I've been trying to figure out my issue with my 6.0 and what it does is it will long start and run fine then it will jump form 1800 to 2400 rpm and it will lope like it is tuned and then it will stop or it will continue to lope and then it will blow black smoke like it's putting more fuel onto the cylinders and I still have throttle response I don't know what it is and I need help
